5 years ago I joined this forum. The only reason I did was because mr @Ray_Palmer_Atom banned me for block glitching (i didn't know what that was). I was like a child copying what my parents were doing, except i was just copying what some other guy in the lobby was doing. i was dumb and didn't know what glitches were.
about 6 months before that I started playing on the servers. It started out as a mere mission to find a server that had block party, and lo and behold, brokenlens had blockparty. Now, I was terrible at it, and all these other people already had a special strat that made it pretty much impossible for anyone else to win, so i moved on to a different game.
microbattles. my virtual home away from home for, like, 3 years. Back then, teaming was not a bannable offence, so everyone teamed. The poor souls who weren't friends with the regulars got goomba stomped into skywars the second they jumped off that building, but we didn't care, we just stood around and talked until the land fell away and the premium players battled it out in the lava, because that used to not go away with the land, and pyro kit for premiums was op (you could swim in lava). Once i wriggled myself into the "it" group, i set off to get a premium rank of my own. After a not very hard haggling session with my mother, she bought me emerald for my 12th birthday. im 16 now. Equipped with my new, flashy rank, I put on my op pyro kit and got to cheesing my way to wins. Out of all the regulars, i was one of the worst at pvp, so if i wanted to win, i had to wait till the morning my time when barely anyone was on.
One of my biggest memories from brokenlens is my fake wedding to @RagingSkull. Loads of my friends showed up and we all hung out in the main lobby for a couple hours.
wow how cute
got that matching drip tho
classic minecraft hug
look at all these cool people
we get it shive, you have a long name
Those people were some of my closest friends at the time, and its unlikely i will forget them.
I've met so many different and unique people through this server and that is something i'm pretty grateful for. I don't really talk to any of them anymore, but i still love them and appreciate them even now.
I remember I loaded into a completely empty lobby one day, so i messaged the friends i had online at the time and we stood on that massive tree in the middle and talked for a while. i can't remember the other person who was there, but i know that @Phoe was there.
anyway, weird ending, but im tired of writing. i'll miss this server a lot and thank you for the endless memories.

I absolutely love all these tributes to the servers, someone should collect them all together and put them into a book or something
