lava on the sides? thats not how the game works. The land gets smaller meaning the lava would disappear.

An empty map can't be a map without details and elaboration, it's like saying
"here is my art even though it's blank"
(A blank canvas may be an accurate representation but only figuratively, since there is some meaning behind an empty canvas painted by a famous artist)
