Can I let my friend help if all they do is press a button? /setblock multiple times takes quite a while. (All players r that join the world are in visitor so I can make sure that the rule one player per map/one map per player isn't broken.

Depends on what the button does.
If it does what you said, like /setblock, although you may have input the command, your friend is still doing the work? Actually, I don’t know @HazardTheDutchAD What do you think?

I put the command in and they press the button. It's just so much faster than /setblock around 50 times.
