Since the player would have left the lava I don't consider it camping. It's just a tactic, like hiding, to heal up. If they would've stayed in the lava I would've considered it camping.

No. When their health is low and will go to camp on lava and then they eat apples and wait for the players to die or the time is up. It is considered that lava camping.
