Does BL hate modern builds? Or do my building just suck?

It seems like BL doesn't like modern/futuristic builds very much... at least those who frequent the Map Submissions forum seem so.

Should I start building medieval builds/something else?
Just asking.

They say Modern N on skywars but it’s basically a map with a tree in the middle.

I usually don't see a lot of Modern builds, but don't let that stop you! If your Modern builds are very good, then they will be accepted. I have seen a lot of modern builds in mm.

Laboratory is modern so is the grand hotel. Maybe they think grays and whites are quite dull and the staff want Broken Lens to be vibrant and the colours to complement each other

Brokenlens has a plenty of maps that are not middle-age themed.
I don’t think that “hate” is the right word.
Most of modern buildings don’t require a lot of details. As you know for BL BuildTeam details are very important.
But cyberpunk would actually be a good idea
