Disconnection & Lag Issues

Your both as bad as eachother so don't start.
Yes. True. But I'm worse. And sorry for this:
We atleast know the difference between Your and You're.

And we definitely are more educated and bilingual than you :)

Hello BrokenLens! Recently I have been answering people who have been having problems with disconnection and lag issues, so I'm here to say a few things about why this happens, when it happens, how they are alike, and how you can fix it.

So lets start with what Disconnection and Lag is:

Being disconnected means having a connection broken. This is the result of your WiFi or internet provider is not running smoothly or is not strong enough to support what ever game or media you are on.

The definition of lag is fall behind in movement, progress, or development. This also happens when your WiFi or internet provider is not running smoothly or is not strong enough to support what ever game or media you are on.

When Disconnection and Lag problems happen:

Disconnection problems can occur when the signals that your WiFi or internet provider(s) get disturbed and can not get through. Say there is a storm where you live and the signals for your WiFi or internet get disturbed, disconnection problems will start to occur as the signals are being disturbed and can not get through.

Lag issues can also occur when the signals that your WiFi or internet provider(s) get disturbed and can not get through. But instead of being entirely disconnected, you are still able to use what ever game or media you are using but the rate of how fast things load is reduced. Another example of this is when there are a lot of devices using the same type of WiFi or internet all at once, which causes it to reduce it's speed.

How Disconnection and Lag problems are alike:

These two type of problems can be alike because they are both caused by a similar problem (signals not getting through/being disrupted). So if you ever find your self in a scenario where you are lagging a lot, don't be surprised if you eventually get disconnected, as Lag can lead to Disconnection problems.

How you can fix these problems:

You can check your WiFi or internet provider to see if everything is running smoothly and that your connection is strong. If you are experiencing Lag or Disconnection issues on any game or media that you are using, try getting closer to your WiFi or internet provider as it could give you a stronger signal if you are closer to it. If multiple devices are using the same type of WiFi or internet at once, try disconnecting some of them so you can improve the speed of your WiFi or internet.

Other Mentions:

I have also come across some issues where the person has said that it is lagging on the server but there WiFi or internet is running fast, has a strong connection, and is running smoothly, the answer to this is that your WiFi or internet is what helps you get on the server and stay on the server. The server doesn't use your internet, meaning that if the server is lagging but your internet isn't, then it's the server that is lagging, not your WiFi or internet, vice versa.

Hopefully this helps you understand why you can get disconnected sometimes and why it will lag.

Have A Nice Day!

uh so earlier today I got on but I tired to get on now, and the screen was stuck on the locating server thing. This happened a whole bunch of times last month as well, and I’m pretty sure this has nothing to do with my wifi.

Have you tried using the different ports and ip's to the direct minigames for it to be easier?
