So some of may have heard of a naturally aspirated engine or N/A on a car before when it comes to its engine, and others may hear about turbocharged engine so what exactly are the difference here? well I’m glad you asked cuz imma show you the difference between them.

Naturally Aspirated Engine: Now naturally Aspirated engines are just engines that don’t have any turbochargers nor superchargers and yeah it’s just basically an engine without the gimmicks so the upside is that it basically has no lag and lag is when the car hesitates when hitting the accelerator and most sport cars are good at reducing the lag but you’ll still have that tiny lag when accelerating so for naturally aspirated engines when you hit the accelerator you just instantly get the speed and I guess more torque.

Turbocharged engine: so turbochargers are good at increasing the horsepower and increase it your top speed on the car which a lot of tuners put inside their car and as well as accelerating and the only way they can add more horsepower is they shove more air into the engine making the engine burn more fuel in which it creates more horsepower but it’s downside is that it can put lag in your car aka acceleration hesitation and here’s why there’s this fan in the middle and it needs some time for it to spin so it can shove more air in and in most cases like JDM cars you’ll mostly hear turbo fluttering after releasing the acceleration and it sounds like the car is just laughing.

so yeah I hope this helps a lot of y’all folks out there when it comes to turbocharged and naturally aspirated
