Hello there everyone, I would like to share my thoughts with you. Now I know, cross platform in Minecraft is amazing but I have some negative issues about it. I am not upset but just worried about this. I've heard news about Microsoft or Minecraft announcing the 'cross-platform' update and I thought it was a great idea! What are the problems though?
Most people will agree to add in the update, since it allows people from any gadget to play with people who play with different gadgets. Here's the problem: Pvp. Yes, pvp. I have seen some forums complaining about people not hacking that seems to be hacking. That's because they use Windows10. So my reason is, that if cross platform does get added, will it ruin the mcpe PVP experience? Maybe, I don't know the answer. Although you could disable some servers, some people will get angry or annoyed.
People will gain an advantage because (even with smooth wifi) Pe is a bit slower to control than pc, not comparing Xbox cause I haven't seen a complaint. For example, F5 allows you to quickly go to third person mode, pressing ASWD is faster than having to 'Move' in Pe, by a few miliseconds (your hands are already there, it's like immediate movement). Also, there will be lagg, chunks and all other disavatages that Pe has and Pc doesn't (not always I know). I had no experience with PC, but I know based on the knowledge I had with computer games.
[HASN'T BEEN DONE]Another reason is that there are RULE BREAKERS. More and more hackers... A lot of people cross teaming, swearing, inappropriate things, using mods or texture packs, I mean is it really worth? The work might be ten times more than before! Even if you can ban them all, they might still come back with bigger and better hacks that you can't even find! Not only that, but they might start abusing the glitches that happen on Minecraft Servers.
[RESOLVED] Maybe that doesn't bother you but the accounts, accounts, ACCOUNTS! Everyone has to create an Xbox live account, or at least I think so. Not only do the new players have to choose another username, but what if ALL THE USERNAMES GET TAKEN? Probably not though but if it did you could do /auto name or something like that. If you would add a free 'guest' account, you would have to have their IP Adress, so if they do an offense, you (Ehmm, Admins,) can ban them. Servers will be too full to hold on ten thousand more players, leading to not only more lagg, but also a decreasing popularity among the servers. If you do manage to create a lot of servers, could you possibly control them all?
I can come up with all the more reasons to not implement this, or maybe it was already published somewhere. Remeber, that I am not disagreeing with the idea. If you think it shouldn't be added, should or just edited then please answer the poll above, and if you play both or more platforms as long as one of them is PE, vote for the PE section please.
