Critique this in development map

I started making another map a week or two ago for SW/TSW. I have made the middle island. Please share your thoughts, positive or critique so I can make my mid better.
I get that the bottom looks wierd, but it doesn’t look bad. I am editing the bottom .So other than the bottom, please critique.

so... its good. heres my problem, it doesn't really have a theme- and if it does- it needs to be shown more. and also I think the middle island format is a bit too perfect. try making it round more.

Same is it like a fortress? Also it looks alright. I don’t like the bottom bit it looks boring and bland. Add more texture to it using similar looking blocks. Also make the stone look like it is mixing into the dirt. Make sharp stone like cones around the edges. I know you said no critiques for the base of the island but this is a map submission. There is no such thing as no critiques.

yes, also make the bottom larger (make it go down farther) so you can make the river deeper, and maybe a bit of lumpy texture.

yes, also make the bottom larger (make it go down farther) so you can make the river deeper, and maybe a bit of lumpy texture.

Yea, I was going for a fortress, with like a moat around it the river isn't deep for PVP practicality. Being stuck in water is a nightmare at times. Especially when 2v1 is happening, and you are the one. The water is half a block deep so you are slightly slowed but only by a bit. I'll make the fortress seem flooded, to add more of a theme.

To me the fortress actually looks kind of plain? and i agree with upsidedxwn you should make the island shape more round, and even though you said the bottom doesnt look bad it should be more of a cone shape at the bottom or you could do other shapes not just cone because it looks flat and thats kinda un-natural (sry if this was a bit harsh xD)

Hey Marvel- I agree with what others have said and I am going to also add that if you aren't willing to change maps for the better they aren't going to get accepted. If you want people to critique them you need to take the criticism and fix the map- not go into it saying "I get that the bottom looks weird but I'm not reshaping it" I won't critique the rest of the map if you aren't willing to fix the bottom.

I get that the bottom looks wierd, but it doesn’t look bad. I am not reshaping my bottom because that took around 2 days of 3 to 4 hours of building to make to shape

That’s not the point. She is saying that if you want your maps to be submitted you have to change your maps in order for them to be so. It’s alright if you don’t want little tiny details. But if it’s something major like the bases or the islands then you have to do some reworking. I understand that you don’t want campers but figure a way for both ideas can have a compromise that will ultimately make the map better.

Oh i though i said I woukd change the bottom. Must have changed my mind thinking I was always gonna change tge bottom.
