This thread is documenting covid-19 (the corona virus) in the UK only. Corona virus is any of a group of RNA viruses that cause a variety of diseases in humans and other animals, like dogs. But dogs can’t pass to humans.

Boris Johnson has ordered that people over 70, People who are pregnant and people with disabilities such as lung conditions, heart problems and diabetes should self isolate themselves. Children with symptoms self isolate for 2 weeks and people with flu (they are vulnerable) take 7 days of self isolation. Schools are starting to shut for certain year groups such as year 8 and 9 (12-13 year olds) study shows that hand sanitizers don’t work unless they are over 6% alcohol.

Uk schools shut on the 20th March 2020 for 2-6 months. Even though year 11 (16-17 year olds) have their grades on the line Boris states it’s vital to contain the disease. He ordered retired medical professionals to come in and help work on cures. They are doing 220+ studies a day to find a cure. Since I live in the UK and I am not going to school at all from now on I can document the outbreak.

What is self isolation and self distancing? BBC has answers! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51506729

March 19th 2020, one day till self isolation.
More information here — if you are confused about the schools shutting https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51956279. Schools are scheduled to shut tomorrow for everyone including nursery—collage. NHS, police, army and civil servants need to work as crime rates will skyrocket due to everyone being isolated. Terrorism will happen in the next few months due to vulnerabilities in society. Food shortages will happen for a few more days but people WILL stop panicking buying essential foods. It’s looking better from now on as death rates will decrease for minors.

URGENT- death rates jump to 100 and the chance of dying has risen by 1.4%.

I’m so thankful I’m in year 10 but since our GCSEs are close and they probably won’t find a cure till our GCSEs which sucks since I have spent long working towards the year 11 mock exams
