The reason why the word Brown is in silver is because there is no color code in MC that represents the color Brown. Here are the colors that MC supports:

Black
Dark Blue
Dark Green
Dark Aqua
Dark Red
Purple
Orange
Light Grey
Dark Grey
Indigo
Light Green
Light Aqua
Red
Pink
Yellow
And White​
