From the shadows, the murderers watched Lucas talking about his murder attempt, also
smiling as he addressed questions from a few people. The female murderer growled.
"I'll make up for all the times I've failed to kill someone first try," she told her partner. "Let
me at him!"
The male murderer shook his head.
"Not yet," he replied. "He's surrounded by too many people right now."
"I don't care!" she yelled and bolted for Lucas.
The male murderer shouted as she concealed her face with her black hoodie and tackled
Lucas. There were screams, and before the male murderer knew it, she had picked Lucas up
effortlessly and hoisted herself onto the Ferris wheel nearby.
"Sh*t!" the male murderer swore and ran after his partner, who was already close to the top
carriage.
He hoisted himself up and began to climb, his partner already on top of the carriage, pinning
Lucas to the ground. There was a sudden movement above him, followed by a few grunts of
pain. A knife fell towards him; he caught it by the handle and climbed faster.

Chrysos was enjoying herself in a carriage when she saw a slim figure carrying Lucas and
climbing up the wheel. She saw the glint of a knife, attached to the murderer's belt.
Adrenaline shot through Chrysos as she leapt from her carriage to the murderer and punched
her in the back. The murderer grunted and dropped her knife. Chrysos was about to launch
another blow at the murderer when someone from behind her tackled her on top of the
carriage roof. She found herself at eye-level with Lucas, who looked at her pleadingly.
"Idiot!" she heard a deep voice yell.
"SHUT UP!" a feminine voice retorted. "FINISH THEM OFF NOW!"
Chrysos watched in horror as a knife was driven into Lucas' back. He gave an ear-piercing
scream stopped moving, blood dripping from his mouth. There were shouts from below the
Ferris Wheel. Chrysos looked at Lucas' face and was filled with rage. She refused to die. With
a swift kick, she sent both murderers collapsing on their knees. She shoved the male
murderer off the carriage; he landed on another carriage. Wiping blood from her forehead,
Chrysos turned to the female murderer.

The male murderer collided into another metal carriage, grunting as he did so. He turned back
just in time to see Chrysos kick his partner in the chest, sending her flying off the wheel. He
watched the scene in slow motion; his partner looked at him and smiled, falling through the
air. He was pushed back into reality when she hit the stone pavement, a loud crack echoing
from below. Before he could scream his partner's name, Chrysos yelled at him from above
and launched herself at his carriage. He yelled and leapt to the slide, escaping her. He had
just hidden in the trees when the tears started to stream down his face.

Chrysos was on the solid ground below the wheel, pushing through the crowd of witnesses.
The female murderer lay on the ground, a halo of blood surrounding her head. She had a
peaceful expression plastered on her face; her hair was curled around her cheek.
"Cosmi...." Chrysos muttered before she turned to the crowd and started answering their
questions.

Late in the night, after Lucas' and Cosmi's bodies were added to the dead, the male murderer
walked towards the entrance, holding a pink lily he found. He approached Cosmi and tucked
the lily in her hair.
"I'll avenge you," he said, before disappearing into the shadows.
