"N-no! Please!" Thai begged as the male murderer cornered him in the changing rooms of the
circus tent. "Have mercy on me! Haven't you killed enough?!"
The murderer gave a low laugh.
"I'm finished with killing when everyone is dead," he said. "Isn't that right?"
The female murderer emerged from behind him, a smile spreading on her face.
"You were supposed to die yesterday," she said. "We're finishing the job off now."
Thai's screams echoed around the tent as he was brutally murdered. With wide eyes and an
open mouth, Evie couldn't help but stare at the scene unfold. She was minding her own
business in the tent when she saw a few people run in. Evie now remained in her hiding spot
behind a large shrub that was covering the mouldy seats. The murderers emerged from the
changing rooms, polishing the blood from their knives. To her horror, the male murderer
turned towards her and smiled.
"We can see you, you know." he grinned.
He ran towards her and struck her with his knife. Evie screamed and tried to scramble from
the shrub, but it was no use. The murderer lunged towards her like a cobra and stabbed her
in the chest. Evie lay there on the floor, struggling to gasp for breath. The last thing she saw
was the murderers climbing out of the tent through a hole in the roof.

"I hope he's okay up there," Lucas murmured to Lolo, looking up at the blue sky. Lolo placed
a hand on his shoulder.
"I hope so too," he replied. "Can we get down now? I feel like I'm gonna slip and fall."
The two of them were sitting on one of the Ferris wheel's carriages, the same one that Vertx
reached days ago. Lolo carefully made his way down, Lucas following behind him. They were
both halfway down the wheel when a hand grabbed Lucas from behind and dragged him into
a carriage.
"RUN LOLO!" Lucas screamed as he was roughly shoved into the carriage with one of the
murderers.
Lolo screamed and hurriedly climbed down.
"What's wrong?!" someone approached him.
"LUCAS IS GONNA DIE!" Lolo yelled.
Before they could react, a shadowy figure emerged from the carriage containing Lucas, leapt
to the slide, and disappeared. The other witness ran to the wheel and began to climb.
Lucas was losing consciousness. He tried to claw his way to the carriage door, but he was
losing blood fast. The world went dark as someone crouched above him, and Lucas blacked
out.

"All better!" the healer told Lolo as she finished wrapping bandages around Lucas' chest.
Lucas was now awake, gratefully to be alive still.
"They got Thai before," the healer said. "I was too late to save him."
Lucas and Lolo gulped. The healer patted Lucas' shoulder.
"Be really careful," she told him. "You might end up dead tomorrow."
Lucas nodded, and the three of them made their way over to the increasing row of bodies.

"Idiot!" the male murderer hissed. "You didn't finish him off!"
The female murderer glared at her partner.
"Someone was climbing up, so I had to do it fast." she retorted, crossing her arms.
"You're lucky Frank is dead, I would've fed your hand to him." the male murderer muttered.
"We'll have to get them all soon."
The female murderer nodded, and they both emerged from their hiding spot and walked
towards the entrance.
