As Lauren munched on her burger, she looked through the text messages she'd received. When she read the text from Shielo about Pixie's car crash, she excused herself and went to the bathroom.
Inside a cubicle, Lauren let the tears flow. She thought back to all the good times she'd spent with Pixie over the last 4 years that they've known each other.
The time Pixie and Shielo were playing a rhyming game, and she interrupted. The time she found out about Wolfix, and started shipping it. The time she drew fanart just for Pixie and finally.. The day she met Pixie.
Outside, Ray and Sara continued talking (and laughing) about random topics. Ray was ignoring his phone, which was vibrating in his jeans pocket.
Lauren blew her nose on a piece of toilet roll.
She was powerless. She couldn't go see Pixie or Wolfie. She was stuck in Canada. And she didn't want to ruin #Rara.
She checked her phone for the next flight back to Pixie.
It was a one week wait.
She dried her tears, and went back outside, as if nothing had happened.
Lauren quietly finished her burger and fries, then asked Ray and Sara when they were leaving the airport.
"Well, we're practically done with our food so I guess we can go now." Ray said. "Also, why do you seem kinda... depressed?"
"I-It's nothing, let's go. Sara, do you wanna stay in the same hotel as us? It would make things much easier.." Lauren mumbled. Sara nodded cheerfully.
As Lauren hailed a taxi and helped the driver put Ray, Sara and her own luggage into the trunk, Ray and Sara got into the back seat and continued chatting merrily.
Lauren slid into the front seat and told the driver where to go.
~ Meanwhile, At The Hospital ~
Everything was a blur. The dozen nurses rushed Pixie into the ER on a rollerbed. Nurses shouted for people to move out of the way. Shielo cried hysterically, rushing after Pixie.
They stopped outside the ER.
"What-What's happening!?" Shielo squeaked in hysteria.
"We have to x-Ray her head. We think there must be some damage." The main doctor said to Shielo.
"You stay in the waiting room, or go home." The nurse said.
"O-Okay! I'll be in the waiting room, please update me on Pixie's condition!" Shielo said, just before the doors to the ER closed.
Shielo walked to the waiting room sadly. This was all her fault - she should have parked the car instead of just leaving it there, and worst, with Pixie inside.
After 5 agonizing minutes, one of the nurses came to update Shielo on Pixie's conditions.
"How is she?! Please say she only suffered minor injuries..." Shielo said rather loudly.
"Pixie has been subjected to 2 days stay in this hospital. She has suffered minor injuries to her cheeks and neck, and memory loss." the nurse said calmly and quietly, as if it were her fault. "She's now resting in room 387."
Shielo quickly rushed to room 387 while texting Wolfie about the incident, and also everyone else.
As she burst through the doors to room 387, Shielo saw Pixie on the hospital bed, awake. A doctor was treating her wounds.
"Hi! Um, who are you?" Pixie said in her melodies but quirky voice when she noticed Shielo enter the room.
"Pixie..? Thank God, you're alive!" Shielo shouted happily as she hugged Pixie tightly. "I'm Shielo, your bestie and bae for life since 4 years ago. You see, you've lost your memory and it's all my fault. I'm sorry, Pixie."
"It's okay, everyone makes mistakes sometimes!" Pixie smiled. "And it's nice to meet you."
~ Back In Canada ~
Lauren walked into her hotel room, while Ray and Sara shared one.
Tears simmered in Lauren's eyes as she lay upon the crisp golden pillows.
She checked her phone.
Nothing.
She couldn't tell Ray, because he'd go into a panic and #Rara wouldn't happen.
"You're so funny!" Sara giggled on the hotel balcony.
Ray smiled. "I feel like we've met before."
Sara nodded. "I feel like I know you!"
They burst out laughing.
"You're a really sweet girl." Ray whispered.
Sara blushed. "Thanks!"
Ray had a crush on Sara, he loved her long, golden brown hair and her brown eyes, just like his.
It was strange, Ray and Sara had a lot of similarities, and they also looked just a teeny tiny bit the same. But Ray didn't care. As long as Sara was his, it didn't matter.
"Isn't it strange? I feel like we're siblings..." Sara mumbled as she stared up at the beautiful, starry night sky.
Pixie was sound asleep, and no one had told Wolfie the news about her memory loss.
Wolfie sat beside her, his hand entwined with hers, her heartbeat faint.
A tear rolled down his cheek. "Pixie. Please wake up.. please babe." He begged almost inaudible.
He leaned in and kissed her forehead.
He checked the clock, tears blurring his vision.
10:02pm
She had cuts and bruises on her face, but to Wolfie, she still looked like his perfect princess.
A faint sigh escaped her mouth, and she moved.
"Pixie?!" Wolfie's voice cracked.
She opened her eyes, adjusting them to the dark.
"Pixie! You're awake! I thought I lost you-" he leaned in to kiss her, but she moved away.
"Why were you going to kiss me, Doctor?" Pixie whispered, confused.
Wolfie winced. "Doctor? Pixie.."
He grabbed her hand. "I'm your boyfriend.."
Pixie gasped, her eyes widened, tears filling them.
"I'm sorry... I don't remember you."
