So, I decided to split the back story into *hopefully* 2 chapters. I'm sorry if it's boring, I'm trying to improve my story telling so it may not be that interesting. Thank you to everyone who signed up and I hope you enjoy the first chapter!
The Prophecy - Part 1
If someone told me in my first year at PR High that I would be selected as a Celtic Hero Ranger, I would have laughed in their face and made sure they were talking to the right person. Well, I guess they would have been spot on. In my second year in PR High, me and a group of my friends were selected to take on the role of the Celtic Heroes, who were sworn to protect Celtic Hero Island, our homeland. Me, Henry, Mittens and Emory were selected, with Ben and Neko to join weeks later. Personally I thought it was baloney but here I am two years later, fighting the henchmen of Krannus, our sworn enemy. It's best if I start with the Prophecy...
2 Years Before...
"Come on, Henry! We can't be late for our first day back at school!"
"Relax, Amy, I'm coming!". My twin brother Henry soon caught up to me, huffing, puffing and trying to catch his breath.
"See?". He looked down at his watch. "We got ten minutes before we have to go see Sir Ash". He smirked. His spiky brown hair was ok until he added green streaks of dye near the ends. He looked at me with his brown eyes almost as dark as chocolate.
"Hey, have you seen Emory anywhere?" I queried. Emory had been me and Henry's friend since playschool and it was unlike him to be late.
"I don't know, he must be running late". Henry shrugged.
"Did I hear my name?" Emory called. We both ran over to him and gave him a hug. "How was Spain this summer?" Emory inquired. "Well, fue muy bien!", Henry giggled in response. Emory gave him a death stare. "It means it was good!", Henry giggled some more. Emory gave him a nice dig in the ribs.
"Hey, we should probably get go-"
"Well, well, well..."
"If it isn't the loser group".
I recognised the voices immediately as my face grew red with anger. It was Zek and Kat Brown, our high school bullies. What, you thought we didn't have any? If only we were so lucky.
They were identical twins, the only difference between them was their hair. Zek had smooth brown hair while Kat had black hair. Everything else was the same; their eyes, body and attitude.
"Hey Amy", Zek said. I looked at him. "I need you to start doing my maths homework again", he winked at me. "Do it yourself!" I retorted as both of their faces looked like they had gotten an electric shock. I could hear Henry and Emory laughing hysterically behind me. There was a few seconds of silence before either of the Brown twins opened their mouths to speak.
"Whatever. You're not worth our time", Kat replied aggressively as they shoved past us. I looked at my two companions as they were clearly impressed by my efforts. Soon, the bell rang. We all dashed towards our tutor's classroom before we were late.
We rushed into the classroom, almost falling on top of each other. Sir Ash looked at all of us with a cloud of confusion over his head. "I'm not going to question you all but I'm totally questioning you all". Sir Ash gave us a kind smile. "Welcome back to school I guess."
We sat down in the cold hard seats. I'm pretty sure by this point no one else out of our tutor class would show up. It was the first day back, after all. Zek and Kat clearly were ditching as they walked past us before we went to the class. My head was in a daydream until somebody knocked on the door that snapped me out of it. A boy with blonde, curly, messy hair and eyes as blue as the sky was standing in the doorway. It was Mittens.
Mittens isn't his actual name but we always call him Mittens to basically diminish his bad boy demeanour. He was in jail for a while but it was for a crime he wasn't involved in, but rather his family were involved in. They arrested the whole family, including Mittens. Anyways back to the story.
"I'm sorry, Sir Ash. Principal Gavin wants to see Amy, Henry and Emory in his office". His voice was really smooth. We got up to leave and thanked Sir Ash before we left. I swore I heard him say under his voice "Are they the ones...?" but I never brought it up. We made our way down to Gavin's office in total silence, possibly out of fear or excitement for what lied ahead of us...
