I think it depends on the place you're in. That happens to me too. Sometimes in different places you can't turn solid. Have you tried different places?

It seems like I can't do it ANYWHERE and when it does, I don't look solid.

It's not it's just that u can't get the block equal and can't hit blocks

You will never appear solid on your own screen, but other people will see a solid block as long as you're in a place where you can become solid.
You can't become solid underwater, on a slab, or if another hider is trying to occupy the same place as you. Well, you can on that last one, but it will undo after a few seconds.

its only a week old and her answer was the best one given so im sure it will b fine.

no one else bothered to mention to him that on his screen he will never appear solid and will always have the emerald, BUT ON OTHERS screens he will appear solid and not have the emerald.

shes the only one who actually answered the question.

but now that it is answered i suppose it is time for thread lock

This was posted before the update where you couldn't turn solid AT ALL, I know you can turn solid now and for a while but this thread was made a while ago and the issue was fixed. Many people had an issue with this where no one could turn solid anywhere.
