MCPE 1.1 just came out completely broken and unstable, so, don't blame us for that. It's for real, the worst update I've ever seen.

We can't do much about the lag, since it's coming from a couple of MCPE bugs (it's a bit complex to explain),
All you can do for now is wait for the next MCPE bug-fix update... we're also waiting for this update to keep the BrokenLens development going forward.

I hope this answers your question. And yes, we have to wait until Mojang officially publishes updates on minecraft pe, as people have reported bugs earlier.
