[Builder's Blog] Update 1: Where's Builder's Blog?

Greetings, it is I KnightWalker49

To the very small majority of you who know Builder's Blog, I have news. But first to those who don't know Builder's Blog, it's a series which aims to teach/remind builders of the fundamentals of building and anything related; from simple tips and tricks to more complex subjects.

Where's Builder's Blog?
Well, it's been on hold for a few months now because of a few things. One of them being that I was busy, busy with life and all. Another reason was that I lost the drive to continue it, because it wasn't really reaching anyone. The reason I started this series is because I wanted to help builders (both advanced and beginners) learn about building, but I feel like not enough people are making use of the articles.

I know there are only two entries so far, but little to no people are interacting with it like I wanted. I thought that something like this was "on demand", but only a handful are reading it. Which is why I stopped it, because I thought that it wasn't proving useful to anyone.

Will you continue the series?
I really want to continue it, I have a few articles planned already! I just need to assemble it, from writing the article itself to building examples for sections in the article. But I want to know if people actually want something like this, so that I know at least there's some demand for building tips and such. I mean... if there's only a handful who want it, then I will continue the series for those people. But it would be nice to have a few more readers, I want to help as much people as I can with this series.

Now, onto the main reason why I wrote this update. The worlds I've been drafting for the articles are gone, I don't know what happened but maybe I accidentally deleted them when I was deleting unused worlds. Unfortunately, I didn't take screenshots so I can't just recreate them. It contains drafts for Entry 1-A - 1-H, I have the full builds for Entry 1-A and B, but the rest are gone. I'll have to build examples for those entries again, which is another reason as to why the series was on hold; because I was devastated about the loss.

I'm pretty much starting from scratch for the entries that are suppose to go up, which will take time and effort to do. I'll have to write the entries and plan builds to go along with sections in it. It will take a while, but I'm hoping there's people waiting for it. If not, then I'll just be doing it for myself then.

Anyway, if you want me to continue Builder's Blog just head over to the poll above and vote! It will help me know how many people are waiting for Builder's Blog and want me to continue the series. Also, I am doing a segment called "Builder's Showcase" where I showcase builds made by you! If you want me to include my honest critique on it, specify it as well. Do note that if you want honest feedback, you will get honest feedback. I try to be as honest as I can when it comes to anything, so if you really want me to tell you what I think about your build just let me know!

Submit a picture of your build down below to get a chance to be featured in the next entry of Builder's Blog! I think I will pick 3-5 builds to showcase, don't worry about its quality because Builder's Blog is about helping you improve on your building skills. I encourage you to submit a picture of your build, and ask me to critique it.

Thank you for reading the update! Well the reason why I posted them under "Minecraft" is because it isn't really related to BrokenLens to really fit in General Discussion, but it's still Minecraft content so it's not really Off Topic to BrokenLens.

Ian is right- It shouldn't be in Minecraft Forum. Nobody is seeing it there. I really think you would reach a much larger audience in either Off Topic or maybe even Map Submission. When (if) you do another one try it in Off Topic. I literally had never opened Minecraft forum until I happened upon your Builders Blog.

Ian is right- It shouldn't be in Minecraft Forum. Nobody is seeing it there. I really think you would reach a much larger audience in either Off Topic or maybe even Map Submission. When (if) you do another one try it in Off Topic. I literally had never opened Minecraft forum until I happened upon your Builders Blog.

Well I just wanted to follow the way things are setup, Builder's Blog is Minecraft related content so I saw that it was appropriate to post it here. It's not necessarily BrokenLens content, so it can't go on General Discussion and it's still Minecraft so it's not really Off-Topic. So yeah, Minecraft section it is.

But if posting Builder's Blog in General Discussion is alright, in terms of the rules and the layout of the forum, then I would post it there.
