So I was going to make a map until I remembered that you had to submit a link to your map. I don't have a PC and I don't think it's possible to do that on an iOS device so.... I also learnt that maps on the Build Team's Server can be downloaded to the server and be used (correct me if I'm wrong).

My suggestion is that BL should add a server/game where you can build on there, like the creative plots in other servers. Players can then build whatever they want - they can build a whole map on their plot if they like.

The build server can have the following (if possible):
- a set size of the plot (the set size should be able to be big enough to build the biggest map size for any game)

- options to make your plot public or private

- a mode where you can browse public plots (can't destroy or build on the plots in this mode)

- access to all available blocks (for building)

- a submit option (you can submit maps to the builders directly on the server then)

- builders have access to see all plots if the player insists (to review potential maps)

- an optional feedback system (players can submit feedback to a player's plot if that player has the feedback system on)

- an optional multiplayer plot (at a player's own risk or if they want to build a map with their friends - can use a command eg. /invite _____ - players can accept the invitation eg. /accept invite ______)

Benefits of this can include:
- submitting maps for PE / iOS / Android players

- no need in downloading a zipfile/link for the map and then posting it on forums

- inspiration from a lot of builds from others

- [comment others in the thread]

Disadvantages of this can include:
- harsh feedback/critique and hateful comments
For this possible issue, there can be a delete button for feedback and the player can report the comment to forums.

- griefing from players (multiplayer plot)

- unpopular on the server

- inappropriate builds
Players can report the build to forums or a builder or staff can visit the offender's plot and use a command or something to delete it.

- [comment others in the thread]

This is open to any opinions on this, you can suggest things to add to this too and I'll edit the thread.

This is actually a really good idea!! For some reason my mind keeps thinking to tbb and tbbs.... like it seem similar, but just without it being enclosed in a map.....This is a great idea. It would be very helpful for multi-platforms...I wonder if that's hows the staff teams build server is?

The only other downside I see to this is inappropriate builds....

It's good! A lot of other servers have done this though. This could also be used to submit maps to the server. Custom plugins could also allow setting player spawns, and adding things specific to certain types of minigame s.
If you want to push the concept even further, ranked members and users who are a certain level, can host their own minigames on their builds, using objective setting plugins. Like the owner of the build player could make a goal of kill all players in a free for all on the build. If you want to go this ambitious, the potential is unlimited!!! It will allow people to host a form of micro server which I think will be cool! I am worried this idea may lag the server due to the amount of creations rendered.
To stop the issue, a player could earn points which they can spend to make builds, and to make an event, by playing regular minigames. The max size of a build can be changed by spending points, and hosting custom games with the power of plugins also costs points.
Also add a poll to see if people like this or not!
Great idea! :D

Yes but this could lead to the same cons that I stated in ksp's party suggestion thread.....

Now that I'm looking and really thinking about it....but you seem to have stated some decent pros and tips but I still think it could lead to that....

Which specific thread? I think the benefits outweigh the cons. Plus, to stop innapropriate builds just make the time banned longer from making one.
I know the terms are in two total different contexts but I still feel like the outcome could lead to the same thing.
I think it should be kept simple, it'll be a whole other concept if the idea of private minigames on custom-built maps were added

also a poll's not necessary, people can just comment what they think about this

??? No I'm not saying they should be added. I'm saying the cons that I mentioned about in private games.....the build server could experience the same cons.
