Chapter 15: Second Wind
We were flying in full speed with our shuttles, we were going to need to be very quick with our feet. “So do you guys have a plan?” Brax asked. “Um, ok. So Alex had gave our ships Magnet Cranes, I think if we can use the Magnet Cranes to knock the Void off course, we got a good shot at taking whoever is the mastermind here to the cell house.” Leona said. “Sounds good, I’ll activate a disguise to get in, and I’ll see what I can find.” I said, most of the team agreed as I boosted my way to the Void, good gosh this ship is freaking big.
“Alright I’am in.” I whispered, using a few tranquilizer darts to put some guards to sleep. “What do you see in there?” Lauren asked. “Uhh, a lot of bad guys.” I answered. “Like always.” Rainbow said. I got back to where the laser is activated, it was a very large place with a very large circular platform ahead, I walked forward to see Adam glide in front of me. “Greetings Recruit.” Adam said as I became terrified. “Adam, man what got into you?” I said. “Oh, please. You took everything away from me. My movie deals, my fame, MY PARKING SPACE!!” Adam said as I gotten a bit ticked off. “I LOOKED UP TO YOU! YOU WERE A HERO IN MY EYES! I’ll even take you in. By any force, necessary.” I said equipping a tiny little pistol. “Aw, little Tennomite with a little gun, boo hoo.” Adam said as a giant punching glove punched him right in the face as it retracted back into my gun. Heh, that’s a interesting gun. “MY FACE!! MY BEAUTIFUL FACE!” Adam said equipping a Rocket Launcher. “Here, have a load of this!” Adam said as I grappled out of the way and used my Mag Boots to walk upside down. “Adam! This isn’t you!” I said dodging rockets heading my way. “Yeah sure, let’s all listen to Alex!” Adam said sarcastically as I grappled to another ledge, then something was trying to pull me. I looked back to see a tornado. “The Tempest! Exile maybe a bit evil, but he can sure make a gun!” Adam said as I held to a ledge as tight as I could. “Adam! Please, if we don’t act now, Tennat will destroy the whole dimension! You were a hero to Broken Lens, and I always thought of you like that, if you let him destroy the Vicla Sector, everything will go with it! Do you want to be remembered that way?” I shouted as a photo flew out of my pocket, and hit Adam’s face, he had a very sad face and then equipped his revolver and shot the source of the Tornado. “PATHETIC!” Someone screeched out. That must be Exile. “You are seriously unprofessional, you never were a good hero and you don’t make a good villain!” Exile screamed. “Well then Exile, the joke is on you because I have the last laugh!” Adam said as he pulled out his revolver and Exile pointed his Rail Gun at him but then something got them confused. “Wait what?” Exile said as Adam shrugged. “It sounded like you were trying to combine ‘The joke is on you’ with ‘I’ll have the last laugh’” Exile said trying to figure it out. “Take your pick.” Adam said exhaustively. “THAT’S NOT HOW IT WORKS!” Exile screeched.
“We are now in range, engage you’re mag-cranes!” Leona said. “You sure this will work?” I asked. “Let’s hope.” Leona answered, the ship started tilting our way, moving it away from the Vilca Sector, to where they can miss. The ship was starting to charge up it’s beam.
“Ok, if you want to make a good one-liner, it should just be short, and sweet.” Exile said. “Look, we have to settle over this somehow, now put your hands in the air!” Adam said looking down his sight. “Over YOU’RE dead body.” Exile said as he started firing. I was surprised I didn’t die, the first shot he took at me almost hit me in the head. I then shot his railgun with my revolver, and he dodged out as soon as it flew out of his hands, he then activated the sequence to fire the laser. “Maybe Tennat was right, I am a mad scientist.” Exile said, the ship started tilting, it must have been the Mag-Cranes. I looked outside to see the laser missed it’s target. I then had a breath of relief then panicked as I saw Adam hanging. I started running around on my Mag Boots to catch him off guard. “I have been waiting for this moment for a long time, time to introduce you to one of my favorite weapons… The BIG [CENSORED] GUN TEN THOUSAND!!!” Exile said as I saw the Trinity of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. I started running in. “Hey Tin Can!” I yelled as I smacked him off his area and into the laser. “Meet, the Crowbar.” I said. I pulled up Adam as the ship started go back to its horizontal path. “We need to get out of here.” I said engaging my thruster boots, as Adam did as well. Then we saw two prisoners… Snowy Belth and Leo Hernandez. Snowy was labelled “The Princess’ Ally” while Leo was titled “The Sandworm.” Huh, guess that we are not a favorite to many. “Alex? I thought you escaped from being a guardian.” Snowy said. “Well, long story. Come on.” I said as we all looked for my shuttle, it only had two seats but I can fit a few more.
“There’s my shuttle!” I screamed out as the place still fell apart, we all got in and I boosted out, just in time before the ship exploded, and luckily it didn’t reach the Vilca sector cause it was pulled away. “Well done Guardians! Let’s go home!"
