Chapter 11: Plan A, and Plan B
“AAAAAAAAAGH!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS!!! You told me that they’ll wipe them out and we lost to some Dune Rat Engineer!” I yelled, “Sir, the question is simple. How do you kill a group of heroes?” Dr. Exile said. “Oh, uh… lot’s of ways exactly. Guns, Knives, Lasers, An Enormous Rock.” Vex said as Exile and I both stared at him blankly. “...Rock!” Vex added as I planted my face in my desk. “Well the answer really is, if we keep fighting with Muscle, we’ll always lose. But it is every thought that counts when we fight with our brains.” Exile said. “Go on…” I said. “We need someone who is easily corruptible, someone who beleive anything we tell him. Someone like who?” Exile continued as he pulled up a picture of Adam. “Who…?” Exile added as I started to think, he then pointed at Adam. “Oh, that may work. I HAVE AN IDEA!!! AAHAHAHAHAHA!!” I laughed out. “You’re a genius sir.” Exile said. “I know I am!! AHAHAHAHAHAAA!!” I shouted.
Back In Mirath City, Nebxua Sector
“We are set to attack the Nennat Industries in one day, it takes a week to be properly trained, so you’ll be getting the accelerated course.” Brax said. “Getting trained by Brax Hazard himself? The dudes a legend!” I said to myself. He then turned a corner to show me a full on lab of sorts… and Jake. What is Jake doing here? “Oh hey Brax! Didn’t know you were there!” The girl who isn’t Jake said. “Leona here is to help us with our gear and provide tactical support… while you’re brother is her assistant.” Brax said. “So you really made it huh? Good seeing you again!” Jake said as he punched me in the shoulder, it was so hard I fell over. “Yeah… good seeing seeing you to.” I said in pain… I think he forgot he was made entirely out of metal. “Alright Guardian, ready for your training?” Brax said as I leaped up back on my feet. “Sure thing!” I said as I nodded. We then left the lab and starting to what I assume was the accelerated course.
I entered the room, it was pitch black… besides the neon that filled the room marking boundaries. “Welcome Recruit.” A voice that sounded like Adam said. A circular platform underneath my feet started rising to see Adam, Lauria and Brax. “Let’s get you in you’re new Delta Suit!” Adam said as he pressed a button, then something was coating me, I think it must have been the suit being equipped. I looked around, it was very high tech stuff, it was a bit of Cyan, Navy Blue, and Gold. “You’re new Delta Suit will aid you across multiple environments, it also comes with the ability to change colors!” Adam said as I looked at my new gloves. “Sweet!” I said with excitement. “You’re suit comes with a Neuro Sensor, it can read your thoughts of what weapon you desire to equip. Try equipping the Revolver!” Adam said. I concentrated on thinking of equipping the revolver, I had seen it before, it was best used with one hand. I then saw it equipped in my hand flawlessly. “Wicked!” I said to myself. “The Revolver is the backbone of the Guardian arsenal, it’s semiautomatic and is best used from close to medium range.” Adam said as I analyzed the gun, I started to pull the trigger only to see the gun fly out of my hand and hit the bulletproof glass were Adam. Lauria and Brax were. I laughed nervously as I admired the small crack in the glass.
“The Machine Gun, or the DG-16 “Nebula” is one of the well used weapons on the market, just hold the trigger and watch the bullets fly.” Adam said as I had the weapon in hand. I pulled the trigger and the recoil wasn’t heavy, I mean… I had one once.
“The Cutter, fires a sawblade that always returns to it’s sender.” Adam said, I had the weapon in hand and let the blade rip. It was successful on the first launch, but the next time I fired it I got nervous and dodged, it then cut the platform in half and I fell down. “I’am allright!” I yelled.
“The Shotgun, or also known as the Biter.” Adam said. I pretty much failed at using it, I pulled the trigger, and it projected me into a wall.
Many Attempts Later…
“You really are bad with weapons.” Rainbow told me. “Well don’t blame me, besides. I didn’t have control over myself for over 7 years.” I replied, I was starting to get a call from someone, I then answered the call to see who it was. “Hey Alex, been a long time.” The caller said. “Phoebe? It’s really you? It has been a long time, and also… blame Jake for that.” I answered. “Well, I have talked to Brock about you, seems like you are off to stop the Island Destroyers eh?” Phoebe asked. “Seems like it, and when this is over. We can all get back together again, and live like we were when we were kids.” I said. “You are a good friend, I’ll see you when you’re done.” Phoebe said. “See you later.” I replied. Phoebe was a childhood friend of mine, when me and Jake had crash landed in the Neco Sector, I didn’t have a note, a message, and I didn’t have a name. Brock found me in the desert and raised me. Jake and Phoebe are pretty much a secret that I would keep to myself, besides, Phoebe wasn’t like me and Jake… she was part human and fox, an Aypil, to be exact. She was also friends with someone named Snowy as well, never got to me her but… I bet I may sometime… like that encounter with Strelitzia and Viper. “Who were you talking to?” Lauren asked. “Oh just a friend, someone I haven’t talked to in… quite a while.” I answered. “I guess, anyway, Adam and the others are going to start planning on an Assault on Nennat Industries, so just letting you know about our next move.” Lauren said. “Alright then, I will see you there.” I said.
