NOTE- This story takes place a while back. Some people might have lost their status on the leaderboard, or have ranks they didn't have before.

The seekers both charged, leaving the girl staring at me like I was an idiot.
One of them swung their swords and missed me by an inch. The other swung their diamond sword and I blocked it with my wooden one.
Good thing these things are enchanted with unbreaking.
I put my sword away, taking out my orange stick (Which was called a “staff” by the way. One of the Legends came up with that.)
I shot a burst of fire out of the staff, blinding the seekers temporarily, then dashed into the pyramid, hiding behind a pile of melons.
"Darnit! Where did the glass go?" one of the seekers asked, throwing his diamond sword to the ground.
"I dunno…" The other seeker said. She looked at the ground as if it was suddenly interesting.
"AND THE IRON ORE BLOCK? HOW COULD YOU LOSE THEM? I SWEAR I'M GONNA-"
I heard a lot of shouting as their footsteps receded, but I still waited a few more seconds until I climbed back into the leaves.
"PHEW! You’re okay!" Kiwi tackled me with a hug.
"You didn't think they actually got me, did you?" I smiled, and hugged her back.
"Uhm… Hello?" I suddenly noticed that the girl who was being chased was staring at us both.
"Haia!" I said, hugging her too, "Welcome to Hide and Seek! I know it's kinda boring but, it's kinda fun if you play it with friends, y'know.”
"Well yeah, that's true for every-"
"IT’S SO NICE TO MEET YOU! Usually most regular players ignore us 'cause we're Legends, and now we have a friend and-"
"I’m Kiwi," said Kiwi, interrupting my bootiful "speech". "Actually, my name is Kawaiieh, but she calls me Kiwi." She pointed at me. "Don’t ask me why, it was probably before Hub broke."
"I’m Hermione," said the girl, who, by the way, was totally ignoring me, "But you can call me Hermy."
"Hellooooooooo?" I said, waving my hand in front of their faces.
"And hi Magic," Hermy finished.
"Yay!" I grinned.
"So… what can I do to repay you guys?" Hermy sat down, crossing her legs.
There was an uncomfortable silence. "Well, you could get us outta here-" I started.
Kiwi elbowed me. "Ow!" I complained.
Ok, so here’s the thing. Non-Legends can travel between games, it's just SUPER hard when they travel with another person. Basically, there’s a pretty high chance that that person might be lost forever or get sent to a different game. And usually people didn’t find them. Ever.
Also people are pretty selfish these days... I mean, who wouldn't want to be lost forever?
"Sure," she said, to our surprise. “Except… can’t guarantee your safety.”
"It’s ok," both Kiwi and I said quickly.
Not to mention that ever since Hub broke everyone got super hostile towards others for some reason. Except Kiwi and I. Oh and Hermy. Yeah we’re cool.
Aaand I guess we were pretty desperate.
"So…" Kiwi said, "Can we go now?"
"Sure," Hermy said, "Where do you wanna go?"
"Well we don’t know any other games," I said, "So anywhere ish fine."
"Okay," Hermy said, "Hold on to my hand and no matter what DO NOT LET GO."
I took Hermy’s right hand and Kiwi took her left one. One second, we were in the leaves of the sandstone pyramid, and the next, the scenery faded into darkness.

To clarify, "Hub" is basically the BrokenLens main hub. The fact that Hub "broke" kinda signifies the new update, and how things have changed.
(Psst- more characters will be introduced in the next few chapters!)
