FOR DE FIRST TIME IN FOREVAH

Shadows weaved into my dreams.
The darkness was suffocating. Weird shapes covered me, surrounded me.
One shape was visible through all this darkness though. A girl leaning over a boy, checking his vitals.
The boy was ominously still. Some sort of color-changing slime was spreading over his body, covering him. Covering the girl.
At the last second, the girl turned around and met my eyes. And then she was gone.
“Cheesy!”
I sat up sharply, panting. To my relief, none of what had happened was real… sorta. I mean, there had been quite a few players who had shown up here with that strange slime on them. We called them “victims” of a so called “virus.” This was pretty accurate though, since the slime was pretty contagious.
But Cheesy. She was in my dream, with another victim.
It’s just a dream Shive, I chided myself.
That was before I heard the scream.
Before I could even register anything, I was up and running towards the direction of the Lime team fort.
I saw Cheesy on the floor, with the same exact player I saw in my dream. My blood ran cold. She was checking his vitals.
“Cheesy wait—!”
“Oh, hi Shive!” She said cheerfully. “Look, it’s another victim! He’s still alive right now, and it doesn’t seem like he’s in mortal danger, so that’s good.”
“Cheesy!” I said firmly. “Stay back. Please. I don’t want you to get infected.”
“Um, sure!” Cheesy said, then frowned. “What’s with the serious tone, Shive? You know I’m careful! Nothing’s gonna happen!” She smiled.
“Oh, y-yeah!” I smiled back. The dream still bothered me, but Cheesy was right. She knew
how to take care of herself.
Besides, it was only a dream.
“Rainbow…” The victim stirred slightly. His voice was hoarse, and his eyes opened slightly.
The player had dark brown hair and white clothes. He was also wearing a black scarf. His eyes were bright, gray slits when he opened them.
“Where…?” The player’s eyes went from Cheesy, then to me, “...am I? And who..?” His eyes rolled back into his head and he passed out again.
“Welp,” Cheesy said, “I’ll go take him with the other victims. Maybe someone could help. You coming?”
“Wait Cheesy—” I hesitated, then blurt out, “What if we left?”
“Huh? What are you talking about, Shive?”
“I’m saying,” I continued, “What if we— that is, you, me, and Xbam— went out into the Portal to find the cause of this thing?”
Cheesy opened her mouth to reply, when the victim suddenly turned his head to look at us.
“Wait… if you’re going… then I’m going with you.”

Aus.
There was a sudden pain in my left arm. At first it was tolerable, but it was gradually getting so intense that black spots danced before my eyes.
Hermy and Lucky were exchanging nervous glances— why, how should I know? Saz was looking at me.
“Uhh Rainbow? You okay?”
As soon as the pain had come it was gone. “I-I’m fine,” I said, catching my breath. I was gonna tell Saz what was wrong, when I remembered Lucky and Hermy were there. They didn’t seem like bad people… but I didn’t know them well enough to trust them either.
“GUYSSS! I’M BACK!”
Magic came bounding up to them, a huge smile on her face. Behind her was Cap— pale and out of breath— and a player I had never seen before. A small furry looking bird was on his shoulder.
“Okie, so this is Mr. Big Nose! He was trapped under that beautiful cave over there.” Magic pointed behind them. “And now—”
“Beautiful? You call THAT beautiful?” Cap gasped, “I’m never going down there again… and lemme catch my breath for a sec…”
“And now,” Magic continued, ignoring him, “Actually, and now what? Y’know what, how about you explain now? We all have lots of questions, well at least I do!” She looked expectantly over to Mr. Big Nose.
Huh…? I barely got anything Magic said. And who the heck would name their child Mr. Big Nose? Especially since his nose was… y’know what nevermind.
“Basically,” Mr. Big Nose said, “I’m no ordinary player.”
Mr. Big Nose then explained the story of how this world used to be, and about the virus. He got to the part about his “powers.”
“Unfortunately, all the shops I owned was stolen or destroyed by The Watcher…” Mr. Big Nose’s eyes darkened, “If you ever see anyone like that— pumpkin head, a body of snow, skinny stick arms— you better watch out right away.”
“Why’s that?” Lucky asked.
“Because,” said Mr. Big Nose, “he is the new ‘Owner’ of this world.”
“And also... the host of the virus.”

BEFORE EVERYONE STARTS COMPLAINING xD im sowwy dis chapter is short, but almost 11 pm and im still jet lagged and im on mah ipad so it takes forevah to type xD
Im trying to write more, so more chapters should come out dis week! ^-^
Also things are getting spoopyyyy... xD if you havent come out yet and you remember signing up *cough* mm ppls *cough* den chur coming up soon! (And i promise, itll be worth the wait ;3;
