I'm baaaaack! .3.
Sorry for the kinda short-ish chapter :3
----
There were BARELY any people here.
Most of the Legends had died off, and there were few new players, if not none.
I could see why people didn’t travel here to be honest. It was SUPER easy to die, unless you had some sort of experience. (Which I did.)
So I was kinda surprised when the game actually STARTED.
You need at least twelve players to start a TNT Run game. Common knowledge.
It had been going just fine. I was only on the second floor, and it had been five minutes, when I noticed a player crouching at the edge of the wall.
Basically TNT Run works like this: You run, and blocks disappear under you. There are five floors, and if you fall all the way down, you die.
Unless you crouch in a certain place, then the blocks don’t fall.
This is called exploiting.
I HATED exploiters.
I ran towards the player, trying to destroy the blocks under her feet. She looked mildly surprised, then ran into a small hole that was in the wall.
OH MY GOD.
Not thinking twice, I ran after her, shouting, “HEY YOU, COME BACK HERE! EXPLOITING IS AGAINST THE RULES!”
“Oh yeah?” The player called back, “Well what are you gonna do about that, huh?”
I had to admit, that was true. I couldn’t really do anything.
Oh well. I could still try.
Even outside the map, blocks still disappeared under our feet. Now, following someone in TNT Run is bad. But I had little tricks on how not to fall, so I stayed on my feet.
The ground was running out, and soon the player was at the edge of the floor. She held my gaze for a moment, then the blocks under her disappeared and she fell.
Well so much for that... Now how am I gonna get out of here?
I jumped back, trying my best to keep my footing when with no warning, the blocks under my feet disappeared too. I cried out, reaching my hand to grab onto a block when my feet hit solid ground.
I was ALIVE.
I looked around frantically. I was in a big cave, with only a little light coming in from the roof where I’d fallen, when a voice spoke behind me.
“Hello Lauren. I always thought you’d be the one to find me.”
~
Far away, Steve looked up at the crumbling sky.
Soon, Hide and Seek -- and everything he’d ever known -- would be gone.
Destroyed.
But Steve wasn’t going to run, no. He was gonna stand with his fellow Legends.
And watch the world crumble to pieces.
----
RIP Hide and seek
Also congratulations Lauren you get to meet the watcher .3.
