Hey everyone. In this thread I wanted to share u with my feelings about this server and exactly tell something about it.
So lets get back Into the old 2018 year:
at this time i started playing on this server. all was good, i had a lot of friends and had a lot of fun! me and my friends were creating parties and we were hanging out together a lot! i bought an Emerald rank and i was so excited!
whats happening now:
.. Normal activity of this server is 1.5k players. i dont really think that its normal cuz one/two years ago there were actually like 6k ppl playin on this server each day. every game i play there are pc players. its really hard to beat them bcuz their ping is better than mine. idrk what to do...
so all im tryin to say is that Brokenlens is dying (or already even died)
1. Im done with pc players. there are actually 60% of ppl who are win 10 players. its really hard to beat them, ESPECIALLY for pe players. i was talkin to stuff about this a lot of times. BTW some time later BRLNS DECIDED TO ADD MC JAVA! NICE DESICION LOL
2. I MISS THE OLD LOBBY. 100+ MEMORIES WERE AT THAT LOBBY. AND U KNOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED? brlns removed our old lobby. i think its the biggest problem of this server and YO i already told that stuff, but it seems like they dont care about my opinion.
SO REALLY GEEZ IM KINDA DONE, BCUZ ALL I HAD: ALL THE MEMORIES, FUN, NICE AND GREAT TIME, FRIENDS..
theyre just gone now. thanks to brlns stuff.
not goin to write something else, but i really hope that stuff will read it and at least gonna understand how other ppl feel. thats all for now, ty for attention.
 
Yes. many players complain about these problems. but everyone is not up to it. because of this, PE players are doubly harder to play.

Im really sorry but my ping sucks bcuz i live ssoooo far away from the country where Brokenlens server is located

a lot of ppl may say that pe players can damage pc players more but even this doesnt help.. plus exactly all i want to do w pc players is just to tell them to play on the servers where only mcpc (win10) players can play :/

it’s not like any change is going to happen, it has been like a year since everyone’s been complaining about BrokenLens dying, and yet no change has been done

as long as people are “playing” (not really though because half the server is just people chatting in lobbies) the games, vertx will see no reason to make changes, to fix the bugs, to do anything

it’s an endless cycle of people who quit the server, saying they miss the old BrokenLens, the staff always saying that vertx is always busy and can’t own a server while maintaining an actual life unlike 75% of the people who play on this server, and then the conversation dies down and nobody cares until another old player quits the server and repeats the cycle again

I can understand what do you mean, a close friend of mine quitted brokenlens a long time ago and we havent talked for years now, but I dont think so that the changes that vertx does is the problem. People grow up, they focus on their future, not minecraft. And well, I will agree with you about the Java thing, because Java players cant even play properly because every game is kinda buggy. Now, about windows10 players I think that nobody can really do something about it as soon as pe players and win10 players have always played together. Well I really miss the old lobby too, but vertx is changing them to make them better for the players. Anyway, BrokenLens really used to have lots of people, but I dont think that BL is dying, I mostly think that Minecraft is dying.

maybe for a day would be fun. but still that's really hard to do, with the programing and resetting and stuff. The new lobbies are fine and u should try making new memories in them. although I really wish creative + survival games was back, where u can just survive, and build.

Well brokenlens was never a popular server anyway (if you compare it with the featured servers)

I remember when activity of this server was actually 6k - 8k players every day
Now its 1.5k :/

I don't think BrokenLens did anything wrong with the lobbies update, it's actually really improved the server alot. About the memories thingy, well, we sometimes just need to learn to move on. Also they're not really " just gone", Look at the Old MM Hotel map for example ( If you know ). It was removed and hundreds of people really missed that map, again, they said they had so much fun, memories, etc, playing that map. Therefore, Hotel N exist.

Just saying, I don't think don't care is the right words to say. We staffs, builders really tried our best for this server, and the community of course. All you need to do is just be patient.

Also, any of you remember Ally said this?

"I think everyone will love the lobby I made for the new game but we will have to wait and see." - Ally 6th Feb 2020

i dont think theres anything that can be done tbh- like what u really think that new maps or even a new game will bring people back? people leave cus they gotta focus irl and thats gonna happen to each one of us. and why do we need more players? i think the numbers the server gets are fine, the less we are the closer we get- i agree about the lobbies, they give off a different vibe but thats not gonna make people come back lol i think we should all just accept that many people have quit and that the server is never gonna be the same and move on. just enjoy ur time by playing with the friends that u have now cus you never know when they r gonna quit too

can we just accept what we got and move on :cautious: i think it’d be cool if they did a throwback week or two in the summer to attract people if the programming would allow it

Idk how can i move on cuz 2 years ago I enjoyed so much playing on this server, when now i have to spend all my nerves to beat some pc players and just deal with some people who think that theyre the best on this server. I want peace, and no dramas. And i really understand that old lobby is already old lobby, but cmon.. we had a lot of memories there.. YES New lobbies are great too, im not sayin something bad about them actually, BUT I REALLY MISS IT SO MUCH.

I understand that new lobbies arent the problem and Brokenlens didnt do something wrong, but theb say me actually why did 5k+ players dont play on brlns anymore?

um u say u want to drama but then again ur here insulting pc players- thats cute lol even back in 2018 windows 10 players were a thing, i dont get why ur making it such a big deal. just cus u cant beat pc players doesnt mean that they are impossible to kill so can we this discrimination against pc players be put to an end already
