when i first joined forums i suggested the game “bridges”. but i never went rly into depth.
what is bridges?
bridges is a game that pretty much explains itself. i’m not gonna say the name of the server it’s from bc i don’t wanna get in trouble, like last time when i didn’t know i couldn’t say names, so let’s just call it “candy”. it’s from the java edition of the candy server.
basically on there there’s 10(ish) minutes to mine and get ores for armor, so basically like a survival for the first little bit. the ores would drop like any survival world, so you’d have to smelt. it’d be possible for people to all get at least a chestplate. in that time the bridges are not down. you can’t build to mid or you’d get in trouble. once the bridges come down after that 10 min the pvp begins. so i guess like a longer version of skywars? but there’s bridges somehow generated. there’d be 4 teams, and a mid, so like the mobwars layout for the maps (w/o generators). you only have one life, except maybe in the 10 min. say you idiotically walk off before the bridges drop. you’d get another life BUT you would loose all your stuff. so you’d have to start from scratch again.
there’d also be more people on the teams. so instead of it being 3-4 people per team, itd be more like 8-10. this would also make people who are in parties happier because if they have more than 3-4 people they’d all be able to get on the same team most likely. i know as one who will be in parties with sometimes 6+ people, it’s hard when you all wanna be on the same team. but then not everyone wants to go on a game like mm/tbb(s)/splt/etc. i see a lot of people complaining about the numbers, and i admit it is a little frustrating for me too.
why add it to brlns?
personally, i think it’d attract more people. brlns is somewhat a known server, but it’s not as big as the “candy” server. plus, if ones who know what bridges is bc they grew up watching youtubers who played it, it’d be like a dream come true. i know me at least, i always wanted to play bridges. but, i never had a good java system. i had a very run down win10 but it was so laggy whenever i’d play it would crash.
this would have to be in a BIG update. ik brlns is a “mini-game” server, but let’s be real, mw isn’t really a mini-game.
basically to dumb it down, this game would benefit not only the players but the staff.
and from what i know, no pe server has bridges like from the java version for the “candy” server. there’s a game on some other server called bridges, but i’ve tried it before and it’s not the same one.
it may also draw away from other games like mm. i see a LOT of people complaining how popular mm is, so maybe with a newer and big game it’d help balance it all out?
the downside...
every game is gonna have hackers, but i think bridges would be a lot more of an attraction for annoying hackers. does that mean it should stop everyone from playing it? no. hackers are everywhere in (t)sw and me but people still love those games.
it could also make the dead games like oitc, quake, mb, etc more dead. they’ve been dead for awhile now, so i don’t think they’ll ever revive. but it’d prob draw the attention they do get on some days away.
toxicity may also spark with it?? like hackers there’s always gonna be toxic people in the games. but, i don’t think that should stop the game from being made/people playing it.

i hope maybe staff could take this into consideration. like i said this would have to be in a BIG update, but maybe vertex could make it work. if anyone wants a video of someone playing it to get an idea of what it’s like i’d gladly send it in a private message area, not knowing whether if it’d be “advertising” to put it in the comments on here or not.
