hello! so, there isn't much of a reason for this post besides being curious myself. As you all may know, bow has been a hotspot for being banned (predominantly by teaming) and I'm curious to see what your opinions on it are.

This is because many people have been really outraged by it all and I'm just wondering as to why- so if you have a moment pop ur views in the comment section below. As for mine, they are mixed haha!

also please! this isn't to fuel any drama; for example i have also been banned on these premises but i think we should still keep it civil and be kind to one and another uwu

i mean, if you're banned for teaming that means you were teaming, unless you can prove that you weren't, but since most of the reporters want to stay private it's kinda hard to prove that you weren't teaming

That's the tricky part. Since most reporters keep private it is very hard to defend yourself, and so it sometimes feels that it's all one-sided. However, it is reasonable to keep private, because otherwise you would be constantly harrassed since people are pretty childish haha.

I agree. Although farming exp is fun (from personal experience) it's safer just not to do it, and it is kind of exploiting the game mechanics. And you would be done teaming (even if you weren't)

Teaming hahaha where to even start when it comes to bowspleef. Well to start it's against the rules even though personally I think it shouldn't be unless it's really aggressive targeted teaming say a 5v1 like 3 matches in a row, that's just crazy. I feel like because teaming is against the rules there should be specificity to it, for example: how close do you have to be to someone to be teaming? does that even matter? think about it; does it matter if you're standing 4 blocks away or 40 or 80 blocks from someone, surely if you're stood there for long enough it's teaming right? no? yes? see what I mean? confusing right? and who's even counting these blocks, ik for sure some blurry ss called "evidence" certainly isn't. Or here's another question: what if you're afk accidentally and someone is nice enough to wait 30 seconds for you to come back before they fight you and someone decides that they're teaming and they get banned? is this fair? should you not be allowed to afk? to me that sounds really extreme for a server to do and is waiting for your friend or even a random person to come back a crime? is niceness punishable? really??? and then how about a final point: what if you're playing the "waiting game" (waiting till players die before getting involved shooting) is it against the rules to NOT sweat shooting constantly at everyone??? So just to summarise: It's not the end of the world that teaming is bannable and I understand why it's against the rules (it keeps the game as fair as possible) BUT the problem with this ruling is that there's absolutely no consistency to it whatsoever, this isn't necessarily staff's fault that are trying to make things fair but it's certainly down to the rule makers. Anyway no hate for this please people let's be fellow humans rather than verbally kill one another. I might make a thread on this which is a bit more grammatical as this was somewhat rushed, depends on reactions to this but anyway enough typing from me, I'll see you in game, stay safe everyone.

Bruh if you were here 2 years ago and saw how bad teaming was, then you wouldn’t even have these thoughts right now. You’re only saying that teaming shouldn’t be bannable because YOU personally got banned for it. Not only is teaming not fair for the new players that want to experience a fun time on brlns by joining bow, but the teamers also benefit from it by gaining xp.

If you don’t want to experience the consequences for your own actions, then take responsibility for your own account. If you’re afk or waiting the game out, that’s on you. If you get banned for teaming, it wasn’t because the rule is inconsistent or whatever, it was because there was SOLID evidence that you were teaming.

I agree, I'm not gonna say my opinion or I'll get muted (again for being brutally honest...)

I somewhat agree. I mean imo, if you are purposefully teaming and killing people whilst not killing some others, that should totally be bannable as it's obviously unfair. As for other situations where you weren't teaming but it looked like it (for example being afk) i really don't know. If you were banned, there's not much you can do about it, it's not like anyone is going to listen to u aha, so i would just accept the ban and not play in that way (or not play bow at all) fundamentally, not killing people is exploiting the game in a way so i understand why it is bannable, even if it may not be fair. Ig if you won't play how the game is designed, it's best not to play at all :(

I got perm-banned, I'm pretty okay with it and It didn't bother me since my existence in this community is slightly negligible and I no longer get entertained In the server as much as I would before. What's pissing me off is the none worth effort spent to make the staff team notice you, private reports, that's how you get closer to the staff team. The reporter (or Reporters) never heard of the word "favorism" before...

bruh private reporting doesn't make you closer to the staff team- it's just another way to report.
