i know this sounds weird for a thread on a minecraft website, and because of the drama ive been in lately that shows the real, toxic me, but idrc, i made this thread for who ever needs to read this.
im sure we've all hated our body's, and just stared at ourselves in the mirror, wishing it was different. whether its because of a facial feature, or how much you weigh, how big your stomach is, etc.
i myself starved myself for a month last year so that was... fun.
um anyways, you dont have to look like people in the magazines, with their toned abs, big butts, or gigantic muscles. remember, they're celebrities. they arent supposed to be a realistic person to compare yourself to. some have surgeries, steroids, or have a person trainer they see 7 hours a day.
it can be hard watching someone have your ideal body shape or features, i know. but you cant really be truly happy if youre not happy with yourself. every body has different body shapes, and in todays world, i think a lot of society is focusing on showing that, whether its in magazines, movies, social media, ads. i spent most of my life wishing i had my best friends body, while meanwhile, she had been wishing for mine. the thing is, we spend too much time comparing ourselves to someone we wont ever be, rather than appreciating the little things about yourself. You could be a stick, or someone some of society deems as "overweight", but still be strong as fk, body shapes cant be something you judge at first glance.
"i want to be thinner" and when they reach that goal, they repeat it. "i want to be thinner" its not healthy, and anorexia is a serious mental cause we should focus on.
when looking in the mirror, do you look for the negative things about yourself, or positive? if you have stomach rolls, or extra fat, everyone does babes, so dont stop eating what you want to just because of that.
i am not qualified in the department of eating disorders, anorexia, body image, etc. so if you struggle with any of this, please confide/research into someone qualified for this.
love yourself, before loving anyone else. you shouldn't put your happiness aside just to please others.
