Sunrise
The sun rose over the horizon, and everyone awoke. Another trial was being held for Zoey’s attempted murder. Everyone decided that Love was guilty of attempting to murder Zoey as well as the murder of many other people. As she was pushed into the execution room, people asked themselves if they had finally caught the mafia.
As people went home or to work, a person waiting for someone called over Sphynx. They brought them over to a little abandoned shop. The place smelled particular, and as Sphynx looked at the paintings, a syringe filled with a drug met their neck. Sphynx felt drowsy, then fell over.
Midday
Sphynx’s body was sitting in a chair. Blood leaked from their neck from a cut. Their head was smashed, and more cuts were all over their body. Behind them was a person painting a butterfly on a canvas. They ran out of red paint(?), so they got up, took a knife, went over to Sphynx, and made a cut into Sphynx’s leg. Blood leaked out, and the person soaked some blood onto the paintbrush.
Sunset
Many paintings of red butterflies littered the streets. The smell of dried blood hung in the air, and no one dared to walk outside.
Midnight
Waffo couldn’t fall asleep. She got up and decided to make some waffles and coffee and do a bit of work. While she was waiting for the waffles, her power went out. She thought it was just a short blackout, but even after a few minutes, nothing happened. She heard her window get smashed, so she grabbed a knife and went over to where the sound was. She saw the shattered glass and went back into her kitchen to look for the possible burglar. She noticed that her waffle iron was open and the waffles were gone. As soon as she went over to close it, a hand grabbed her head, forced it into the iron, and shut it. The iron burned Waffo’s head, and she shrieked. The iron grew hotter, and her face and eyes got fried.
The person lifted the waffle iron lid. Blisters and horrible bloody red burn marks covered Waffo’s face. The person gave one last look, then left.
