Blindness Bug

In the Haunted Mansion map, everytime I go outside (where the portal is) I get blindness, even thought the murderer hasn't used its perk. I then have the blindness until the game finishes or I die. I haven't tried going back inside the mansion when I have blindness though. Is it a bug or some new feature that I didn't know of?

Just go back inside. You get blindness as long as you’re outside so it’s risk v reward.
