Chapter 21- Destiny ft. M, A, and S
“Shoot shoot shoot!” Miner kept on repeating those words out loud as she bashed from each vent to another.
“What the hell have we gotten into?” Ang's faces turn red, in anger in ever attempting this adventure.
“I blame you for having a useless teleporter gun that only works every 24 hours,” Ang tells her from the top of her lugs.
“At least I have one darling!” Miner shouts back, continuing crawling through the vents of unknown prisoners.
“Hey, did you hear that?” One of the prisoners from below asked his roommate.
“Yea, it sounded like it came from above us.” The prisoner points to the vent above them.
Ang and Miner didn’t make a peep.
“Eh, probably the rats coming for the leftovers.” One of them coughs before heading back to their regular things.
“Quiet, insect,” Miner tells Ang in a whisper.
“Ah-” Ang wanted to rage again but she knew well that she shouldn’t.
Ang and Miner kept on crawling quietly this time, holding their breath every time they crawled over a prisoner's vent.
This mission went from saving their sister in prison to getting chased by one of the most trained army people in the world.
“So, if we do get caught by any chance, what would our plan be?” Ang askes Miner, still crawling in the vents.
“You know what, don’t worry about that, we’ll figure that out when it comes to the time WHICH by the way, we won’t.” Miner turns her head to Ang for a few seconds before proceeding to crawl again.
Even with Ang and Miner crawling in the vents very quickly, they still made some noises through in there which got the guards a little suspicious in hearing a lot of noises coming from the vents.
Throughout being in the vents, they did come around people talking about what that noise could be that is coming from the vents. Other people such as the prisoners were about to snitches and tell the officers that something was in the vents but luckily, they didn’t.
“My GPS says that we’re almost there. Only a few more crawling and before we know it, we will be above Strel’s vent or I should call it, her cell room.” Miner’s heart racing faster now, started to crawl extremely slowly, Ang behind her wondering why she has gone slower than usual.
“Psst, Miner.” Ang gave a small tap behind her back, making her foot shake for some odd reason.
“Ang, what do you want?” Miner whispered very gently, not even making a peep at this point.
‘Why did you go all slow all of a sudden.” Ang waved her hands in the smallest space she had in the vent.
But all Miner said or not even said but waved to her is some sign language that she couldn’t understand. After that, he started to crawl as if she answered Ang’s question.
Ang was furious and didn’t like how Miner was acting since she knew something was up but it was pretty dark in there and she didn’t want to start anything that might affect down by the hallways. So, she went with it and followed Miner in her path.
Ang looked around the small space she had along with Miner’s white shoes in her face. Ang mind her own business for a few minutes until she started to hear a beeping noise from in front of her.
Before Ang had a chance to tell Miner if the noise was coming from her GPS, she surprising looked at me and asked me the question I was gonna ask her.
“Um, Ang, is that coming from you?” Miner faces looking worried now.
“Oh, um, I thought that noise was coming from your GPS..” Ang’s heart started to race as she slowly dropped the flashlight on her hand on top of the vent.
Ang and Miner froze once again, the beeping sound got louder and louder until it was at that point where it was so loud that felt like your eardrums were about to. After 2 minutes of deadly pain, the noise stopped but, so did the lights. Everything was out.
Every single prisoner cell went completely silent, silent like a rat looking for food in the middle of the night.
“Oh shoot, I think we’re in trouble,” Miner said in a deep voice this time.
Miner didn’t even move a muscle and just like that, the vent completely betrayed them and landed them onto what appeared to be a swamp, but it was cell.
“Hello, guys,” Strel repeated disappointed.
