Chapter 19- ShowDown; Part ½
Bell shoots power beams towards Katy, Katy protecting herself in a field shield.
“Your power is irrelevant compared to mines.” Katy teleports into Bell’s shield, banging her in the head with a metal bar.
Bell lands onto the ground, not be able to get up from the position she’s in.
“Sweaty, just because you have powers, doesn't mean you know every single move of them.” Katy gives Bell and hands up as she cleans herself up.
“What do you mean?” Katy sits on a rock and tells her some facts.
“You gotta know how to control them and how to use them correctly.” Bell then takes a seat next to Katy.
“You see, growing up, I was never a great spy nor a great hero to my town. My parents were very disappointed in me when they found out that I didn’t know how to use my powers correctly at the age of 18. They said to me, ‘you’re no child of mines’ and kicked me out.” Katy then stared at the sky, still raining and dark.
“What happened then?” Bell got into the story.
“After that, I set to have the life of my own. A nice gentleman offered me to stay in his house if I would to clean everything in his house as a price to stay. I took it and from there, I learned how to use my powers.
I started by using my mind to fold the clothes. Later on, doing the dishes in a blink of an eye. But sadly, I overused my powers. I… killed the man in the house because he got in my nevus and threw him right into the fire pit.” Katy stood there, wondering what else she could’ve done instead of that.
“I got charged and got taken away. I escaped that very same night, and from there, I started my own club. It was about a clan were people stole from others.” Katy looked disappointed in herself as those words came out of her mouth.
“One of the things that I learned how to use my powers correctly and used them when only needed.” Katy then stared at Bell, Bell staring at her also.
Bell then put her hand on Katy’s shoulder as she started to sop.
“Life was never fair for me either. But, one way or another, we’re both here, still alive and in good shape.” Bell than thought of something she wouldn't ever expect and hugged Katy.
“Which way should we take” Miner peaks both ways, making sure nobody was around.
“I don’t know, you ask me. You’re the one with the better technology after all.” Ang gives Miner a smirk, activating her tracking humans.
“Ya know, I feel dumb not using this wholesome thing this entire time.” Miner tracks everyone down, where every single person was and which room and floor they were in.
“It seems like there’s nobody up this floor at the moment.” Bell and Miner got off the elevator, still being nervous if case if someone would to climb up here with the stairs.
“So, where my sister if I don’t mind asking?” Miner checked her GSP to see her on the fourth floor of the prison, guarded by only one person.
“That’s strange. The jail cell is usually guarded by a bunch of guards.” Miner reloads the page in her eyes and sure enough, she was right.”
“Well, if you were hearing correct, the announcements did say to everyone to look out for 2 kids.” Ang reminds her.
“Oh yea, right. So, our best way is to either drunk the only police that guards the cells or sneak into the vents and head for her cell room?” Miner asks her.
“Or… we can use your teleporting gun to teleport into her room.” But Miner didn’t seem to like that idea.
“As much as I would love too, I can’t. I can only use the teleporter once a day.” Miner wiggles her fingers.
“That’s BS!” Ang shouts that right in her face.
“Yea, but, I’m not the maker of it. Tell that to my boss.” Bell pauses for a second, then, tells her, “You know what, A plus for effort, I rather now hehe.” Bell starts to sweat a little.
“C’mon, we’re wasting time right now and according to my GSP predictor, a guard is supposed to head up here in about 2 minutes. So, if I were you, I would start making a discussion right now!? Ang felt bad that she didn’t know how to use her powers correct at the moment. So, the only possible way to save her sister is through the vents.
“The vents!” Ang with her minds unscrews the vents nails and crawls into it.
“Hm, not bad.” Miner crawls with her, locking up the vent with her mind as the guards enter the hallway in the exact moment.
