Chapter 14- The Idea That Was Stolen
“Dude, your timing is terrible. Get lost.” Ham walks right past Bear.
“They’re coming,” Bear speaks.
Ham stops, turns around towards Bear’s location.
“Pardon me?” His face turns serious.
“You don’t know yet? Boy oh boy, you got a lot heading towards your way young sir.” Bear fiddles with his wine on his hands, taking a sip as he looks at Ham’s expression.
“Bear, you don’t scare me.” Ham takes a few more steps.
“Not trying too.” He takes another sip.
“Then what the hell do you want from me? Oh wait, you can’t even have it since you’re dead.” Ham pauses.
Ham realizes how dark that got and Bear seems to catch the message.
“I’ll see you around, Bear.” Ham looks disappointed in himself as he heads for the last pair of steps up ahead.
“Yea, I’ll see you around.” Bear disappears into thin air, leaving white dust as it drops all the way down the stairwell.
“C’mon Amanda, we’re almost there.” Ham puts on a fake smile for her as he finally steps into the iron door from the top.
“Now, for the grand finale.” Ham inserts the key into the door, opening by itself once he did so.
“Oh, okay, well, cya Evie.” Dally steps out of the bathroom, leaving Evie to do her business as she didn’t get what she asked.
Dally headed for her last period of the day, which happened to be Biology, which also happens to be on the other side of the school.
“Great, could this day get any worse?” Dally's face turns into a gloomy expression as she starts to walk down a hallway that seemed infinite.
Dally sat her stuff on the wood desk near the teacher’s desk. Dally never liked the way the teacher put her right in front of her, as she felt like that sort of person that she constantly had to keep looking at but who am I to complain.
The class went fine until her stomach started to feel funny. She ignored it but it only got worse.
“Um, teacher.” Dally didn’t even have to raise her hand since her desk was like 25 feet from hers.
“I gotta head to the restroom.” The teacher handed her a pass, reminding her that she had 4 minutes to go and come back.
Dally headed for the hallway that had a view of half of the city. She expected to have a nice view of the town but instead, having a horde of police cars rushing to the north.
“Woah.” Dally thought of something she never expected to do in her entire life.
As I witness both of my friends heading for their own road, I felt betrayed.
“I’m gonna kill those two a--holess when I get the chance.” Bell was so furious, that she started to dig up live worms from the ground and throwing it at the wall of the prison.
“This is not the life I chose to be!” She shouted at the top of her lungs.
“Hm, I could agree with that.” A voice spoke from behind one of the bushes.
Bell got up from the ground, searching every corner of the woods but spotted nothing.
“Behind you sweaty.” The voice spoke again.
Bell turns around to see a girl the size of her, wearing black glasses, and well, everything black!
“I can see that your… friends have left you here all alone.” The girl started to approach her very slowly.
“W-who are you?” Bell looked in disgust, stepping away from the girl as she got closer to her.
“Aw, don’t be afraid, I just want to help you.” The girl then puts an evil smile, her big nails now scratching the bark on the wood.
“I don’t need any help, thank you very much.” She tried to dial 911 on her phone but strange enough, her phone was dead.”
“Oh, you're no fun.” She suddenly stops, 80 feet apart from her.
“I cut the power from your phone.” She smiles, still standing still.
Bell was silent, not daring to say a word.
“Who are you?” Bell asks again.
The girl takes off her glasses, revealing her true self.
“Hello, Bell, it’s been a while.” She smiles, her white lips grinning creepily.
“Oh sh-, Katy.” Bell reaches for her pocket knife
Bell's hand started to shake, weirdly letting go of her switchblade and landing right in front of her.
“I can see that your power has improved.” Bell trying to act brave.
“Ah, you notice?” Katy now standing in front of her.
“How can I not? Using your powers on innocent people just to kill themselves. You’re a cold person.” Bell shakes her hand, her body suddenly now a statue.
“And who are you gonna tell? Your friends that betrayed you? The police? Yea, when I can tell them that I spotted your ‘friends’ on a hist to escaping your sister? You're powerless, Bell.” Katy laughs in front of Bell as she starts to cry.
“Tears? Aw, you really haven’t changed, haven’t you?” Katy continuous to laugh, making Bell feel powerless.
