Chapter 13- Hello There
“I don’t like the smell of this place,” Ham tells Amanda, looking down way below to see how high they were.
“Ham, you like nothing but when I mean it, I really mean it.” Amanda fixes her hair.
“There was a reason why they fired that Santa guy.” Ham continues to look straight down.
“Don’t you dare bring up his old past. He might’ve done some awful things back then but hey, that’s what we do, right?” Ham’s head suddenly looks towards Amanda’s direction.
“Yea, I guess so.” Ham then takes a few steps up to Amanda.
Amanda and Ham sit together, midway before the iron door all the way up ahead.
“Look.” Ham reaches for his left pocket, taking out a map that looked like their main town.
“Growing up, you were the only person I could’ve counted on at the time of the tragedies going on at the time.” Amanda then peaks into the map Ham was showing her.
“That’s where we both first met on a breezy night after running away from home.” Ham points to what appears to look like a lighthouse on the edge of a cliff.
“Oh my..” Amanda then starts to tear up a little from the memories flooding into her mind.
“You always told me that one day, you wanted to live in a nice suborn house, away from everything here and start new.” Ham looks at her with a half happy, half sad face.
“Yea..” Amanda then struggles into Ham’s arms.
“Oh, how life would’ve been simpler.” Ham pats Amanda’s soft hair.
“Yup.” Ham looks above him, predicting only 1,000 more steps ahead of him.
“C’mon Amanda, we gotta go.” Ham slowly breaks out of Amanda’s head, she doing the same.
“Yea! Let’s go!”
Ham and Amanda quickly starts to jump sprint up the stairs, later on, getting tired by the 2-minute mark of running.
Ham was ahead of Amanda by 300 steps, but, that’s what Ham predicted.
“Hey, goofball! Wait up!” Amanda laughs in joy as Ham does also.
Ham tiptoed up the stairs, laughing about how much fun he has been having so far. Ham kept on walking when suddenly, he spotted a white figure up ahead.
His eyes and mind were suddenly controlled.
“Hello, Ham.” Bear crossed his arms in front of him.
“Oh… c’mon!”
“Prisoner #369?” I heard a guard knocking on my cell as I put on my prison jumpsuit.
“Yes?” Strel headed for the mini slide door, not wearing any socks so her feet got covered in mud along with the water.
Strel opened it to see or peak a tall man having a blue tray in his hands.
“Here’s your food.” He said in a deep voice.
The man slid her food through the mini sliding door as he shuts it with his keys.
“Ew, mashed potatoes again. I swear this is just leftovers that will soon rot in a few days. Might as well eat it before they serve me this disgusting food again when it’s all rotten.”
Strel slowly grabbed the mashed potatoes with her spoon and dropped it into her mouth as a mother would do to her baby.
“Where’s my sister?” Strel asked herself.
“She would always be the type of girl that will risk anything in her life just to get or rescue anything that’s hers that she loves back.” Strel then puts down her tray on the bunk and sat there for a while.
“If she truly loved me… she would’ve been here by now.” Strel started to tear up.
“IDIOT,” Miner shouted to Ang from the bush, watching her jump from the wall and into the other side.
“Well Bell, you’re on your own.” Miner patted her on the shoulder as she pulls out a teleporter gun from her back pocket; shooting at the near end of the prison and another onto a tree.
“Peace!” Miner gives her a peace sign as she jumps into the portal, disappearing as she jumps into it.
Miner teleports to what seems like a room filled with boxes and… guns!
“Hell ya! Jackpot!” Miner yells in a quiet voice, still hiding in case if any guards were outside of the door.
Miner took this opportunity and stacked the ones that looked like they can kill someone in a one-shot.
“This one looks cute!” Miner fangirls to a gun that had a fancy signature written on it along with a rose on top of it.
“I’ll keep you in a special place!” Miner stuffs the gun into her purse and slowly opens the door.
She looks both ways and it seems like she landed in an abandoned hallway cause from the looks of it, only 3 light bulbs worked. So, from her point of view, it looks like she landed under the base.
She decided to head out and walk the right side since there was a stairwell along with a sign that marked exit.
Miner headed for the stairs when she heard something coming to her left.
She slowly opened it and to her surprise, it was a bathroom.
Miner decided to make a quick business and headed for the second last stall on the bathroom. She washed up and before leaving, there came a noise coming from the last stall.
Miner quickly loaded her gun as she shouts, “Who goes there!”
