Average ban appeal thing.

Good afternoon,

I've been banned from the server for 14 days after being reported for using the wrong language in a discord chat with one of the server’s members, I can’t post links unfortunately, brlns.net/forums/threads/looks-sus-ig.140630

I can see why I got banned, but I did not know that brokenlens rules apply to discord and other social media platforms, I respect the time you took to make such a decision with the other staff but still, I don't believe I deserve such a punishment;

-Nothing in the server rules sais that they apply in other social medias, let's say for example that someone from the server used hacks in COD, does he get banned in the Bl? obviously no, I admit to have offended someone (however that was not my intention as you may be able to see, I just made a one silly joke that was trending in meme culture at the moment, clearly anyone above the age of 13 wouldn’t take it seriously) but that was not in you're server, what they can do is report me in discord where the "rule breaking" you may call occured.

- That was months ago as the screenshot is showing, and somehow they felt like reporting it and I got banned for something I did months ago, and it wasn't even in you're services; if they couldn't take the joke they could've just blocked and that's it, but nope they gotta report it to a minecraft server.

To be honest I feel oppressed and clearly the staff are in their side since I was banned for something I commited in a whole different platform.

The point I am trying to explain here is that it wasn't my intention to offence anyone, add to that it being outside you're server and clearly I can see no rules broken since I wasn't even in the server, you’re rules doesn't say anything about other platforms, so why the banned?

May you please reconsider this decision? or explain to me the logic behinde it? Maybe even consider updating you're miss leading unclear rules? I'd appreciate so, Thank you

Sexual harassment or in your case your crude joke is something we take seriously whether it be on the server or not. If it’s between players on the server we will handle it if it gets reported Discord, Instagram, whatever social media it’s coming from. You might not have had the intent to offend anyone but that joke was extremely inappropriate

Alright I guess, doesn’t explain the whole 14 days band if you could just gave me a warning since I wasn’t aware of it, could’ve been an ever better way to deal with it, just as a reminder I can’t see the “wether it’s inside or outside the server” part in your list of rules. Welp one new rule learnt. Thanks for you’re time, would be cool if you cleared that “outside the server” thing in the rules list incase anyone falling for it again. Again thanks for you’re time.

Or she could’ve banned you permanently because that’s what we do with most if not all sexual harassment cases.

I understand people joke around on social media but doing harassment in brlns it's a different story.
