Something I’ve been working on this year is focusing on things I struggle with most when it comes to drawing, and one of those is doing realism. I have never been fond of creating still-life work, it’s just not for me, but a part of being an artist is understanding all aspects of art creating, and what better way to learn than to just do it.

Realism isn't about copying the image, it's about creating the illusion that the thing you're drawing is real. The picture may have been very well heavily edited as well, so the shadows aren't that realistic. That's fine though, you can always improve and your drawing is still pretty damn good.
