Idk you refer to gem and i think of steven universe but then again jex is too bad@$$ 
I've gotten that a lot and like idk how to do respond anymore. I made her before I knew what Steven universe was, and I'm not like yelling at you when I say what I'm about to say, but people need to realize that there were gem ocs before Steven universe. It bothers me when I see anyone's gem ocs referred to su because these things came out before rebeca was popular. Again I'm not yelling at you, I'm just stating my opinion. Also there are loads of differences when it does come down to my Gemline and su. For one, gems and elements can fuse in my world, where only gems can in SU. Also in SU, their gem is used to make weapons, where my gems are used to enhance what they already have. When Jex uses her gem (which is never) she can use it to make her black magic deadly, but she doesn't need the gem to have powers. My very first OC isn't a gem and she has more powers than Jex. Another thing with fusions. In my world, you can be extremely conpatable and you will still have a messed up breed. Every fusion, no matter what relationship they're in, will come out looking like an alien, where as SU, their fusion looks depend on compatibility. Like malachite to rainbow quartz for example. Rainbow is gorgeous with a mostly human body, while malachite looks like a straight up caterpillar. With my ocs, you will always have more limbs, more eyes, and more whatever. Also, with my Gemline (Ima just use the rose Gemline for example.) I've created about 4 gem lines now; Rose, Ruby, Black, and White. Rose consists of 3 different gems; Rose Pearl, Rose Diamond, and Rose Quartz. Each of those gems have different powers; quarts is black magic, diamond is raising the dead, and pearl is earth. The other hemlines have other gem powers. Normally for a rose quartz gem, their gem would be on their chest, but Jex had a gem birth defect and it ended up in her eye
Again, don't think I'm yelling at ya or anything cause I'm not. But I kinda rambled for the rest of the peeps who think I base my work off of SU. I created gem ocs before I knew what SU was, and my gems go deeper than just weapons
