Armor useless and weapons the same?

Well when i play SkyWars the most of times i got a diamond-gold full armor set and lot of my enemies have only a cloth-chain armor....How is possible with the same or better weapon to deal less dmg than him......Like im going 1 v 1 with someone and always I got better gear and still dealing more dmg to me....I need at least 20 hits to kill the enemy and the enemy needs only 4-6.Is that a bug??......

Well the bug that armor basically does nothing as protection is a bug itself but the fact that they are hitting you more might be the winning factor that causes them to kill you. Also need to be aware of critical hits

The difference isn't much really if our you I would get Archer kit or pyro kit if you realy want to do more damage but hey I understand 100% wat ur talking Bout and yes I do think armour is bugged but swords actually do more damage and as well from armour .-. it just doesn't protect as it should be hope they can fix this bug ;/
