In this era of the forums, most people think others are tryharding their way so they can get staff. However, I am here to put it in a new perspective.
First of all, does it do you any good to bully others who are trying too hard to be staff? All you have to do is to politely ask them to stop spamming and such. Also, if they aren't spamming, and all they are doing is reporting hackers and being nice to admins, you may not like that, but I'm pretty sure staff likes it. So next time you see someone 'begging for staff' tell them politely what not to do.
Secondly, are people who are 'begging for staff' really affecting the community. If you can't get them to stop, ignore them. It's not like vertx promotes people who get the most messages or likes, but whoever helps the community correctly. He's not going to go to some person who tryhards his way through life, but the peaceful ones. Do any of the staff team actually tryhard?
Finally, if you meet someone trying to get staff, just roll your eyes. We've all been through that phase where we wanted to be staff. I remember when I was an active member I wanted to be staff so I spent eight hours everyday just reporting hackers. It's just a phase.
tbh, I really don't care about this situation. I just hate arguing. So if you guys could make up and stuff (I dunno what you guys should do, I have no feelings), that would be nice.
