Kinda late and probably irrelevant by now but eh, why waste a day 2 days ago?

9:00 P.m
Staring at my screen, seeing everyone cheering me and in hopes that I return safely back home. It was a risky thing that I was about to do but if I didn’t do it, then who am I to the world at this point.
I put my phone on silent that night, my friends still texting but, not me. That night, I stared at the ceiling for probably an hour or so, God, it was terrifying. The shivers going down my spine, the bugs crawling on me under my sheets. But, the thing that most terrified me was… myself.
What was there to expect when I get there, how would I attack the place? Many thoughts came into my head that night, and let me tell you, staring at the ceiling for an hour still didn’t help my case nor was it going too. Tears went down me as I thought about the things that might happen if I don't come out alive
I kept on rolling from my bed left to right, flipped my body all over, still didn’t help me. The thought of Area 51 in my head all night made me feel, well, different.
It was an odd feeling.

2:50 A.m
“Eric, wake up.” I woke up to my parents shaking me gently, telling me that it’s time. My eyes felt heavy cause heck, who wants to wake up early in the morning. My parents left the room, closing the door gently as I stood up from my bed. My feet got a shocking cold feeling since the floor was cold as ice in the morning. I swapped my clothes hanging from my bedroom door, headed slowly into the bathroom in the dark, got out, and headed for the kitchen where only one light was turned on.
I pulled a tall seat from the counter and sat there, hands folded, my mom staring at the boiling pot for some good minutes.
I broke the silence by telling her, “It's okay.” but that only made things worse for me. She said nothing, pouring coffee into two cups, one cup that I gave her for her birthday and a small cup with a kawaii face on it.
She gave me the cup with one hand as she slipped her coffee up with her sleeves up. I stared outside, everyone’s house was dark, even pitch black if you dared to head outside. Once I finished, she finished too. I put down the cup into the sink, she doing the same.
I started to pack up all my belongings into my backpack, put on my shoes and started to make my way outside into the parking lot. My mom came out a few minutes later with the car keys along with a sweater since it was freezing outside.
I jumped into the front seat of the car, the car smelling like fresh wind from inside. Once my mother got in and started up the car, I knew from there, I couldn’t turn back now.

3:30 A.M
It was a Friday but I decided that today, I should skip school since this raid is something I can’t miss.
The airport was packed but REALLY packed which I can see a lot of people might be going to Nevada but then again, I could be wrong. My mother got everything we needed such as our tickets and stuff while me, being the shy one, I sat next to a man that looked like he was in his young 20s’.
I said hi in a low voice but I guess he didn’t hear me because he didn’t say anything back. I was still scared, frightened. I try texting my friends on the Instagram group chat but they were all asleep cause nobody chatted back.
I sat there for probably a few minutes, playing some games on my phone until my plane number was called. My mother only gave me a face, not a word nor a smile, a face that had no expression.
I can’t blame her though, a few months ago after I told her that I was going to Nevada for a raid, she thought I was crazy but heck, here I am, about to risk my life. But this was a choice I was willing to make for the meme community or the entire world.
I hugged my mom for the last time, praying and then leaving, with no words. It was a scary feeling and a cold one in my heart.
I got up, picked up my suitcases and my bag and started to head off to my plane. The red carpet gave me a good feeling as I was entering the tunnel of the plane. I sat in the low-class seats, picked the window seat cause why not, shoved my stuff into one of the top cabinets as I call them, sat back, put on my headphones, blasted my Spotify playlist and let the plane take my flight from there.

10:04 A.M (Or, 7:04 A.M in Nevada time)
RAM! Stopped the plane, waking me up with my eyes no longer heavy. I looked around and I guess everyone got the same message cause some started to mourn from the back and some complaining. But, what could I do? I was alone in a plane, having nobody around to take care of me.
Everyone started to take their stuff from the cabinets, me doing the same, making their way out of the plane as for the others. It took me a while to get my stuff since one of the bags got stuck but I manage to get it unstuck just in time to get out.
I took a deep breath into the air and boy oh boy, here I was, a 14-year-old kid with terrible writing standing in the state of Nevada, knowing nobody.
I called an Uber and 14 minutes later, a black Jeep pulled over, asking if my name was Eric. I told him yes, got in and started my long trip to Area 51.
As the Uber took me to my destination, I looked past the houses and even some beautiful places that Nevada had to offer. I even wanted to tell the Uber driver to stop here and come for me later but I had a mission and I couldn’t.
The Uber driver kept on passing some old buildings even some creepy ones that looked pretty much haunted. After an hour in the car, I got a text from one of the friends saying, “Where are you?” In school. I told him that I was going to Area 51 but they all just laughed, which is where I muted my chat.
The Uber driver decided to call his family but in a soft voice, I could hear him mumbling and laughing about me going to Area 51, it stung me in the stomach but I ignored it.
After about 46 minutes since I last heard this guy talking, the car finally stopped. I looked around to see a deserted place which at first, I found creepy since I’ve heard a lot of creepy Uber driver stories but strange enough, he told me that this was my destination.
He couldn’t be wrong either, cause my GPS was saying the same thing. So, from there, I gave him the money I owe him, grabbed my bag, said thank you to the driver and got off.
In the distance, I could’ve seen a crowd of people ready to storm the place.

1:27 A.M (10:27 P.M Nevada time)
So yea, there I was, a sledgehammer in my back pocket, crowded with dozens of strangers around the area. I was surprised and very disappointed that not millions of people showed up like they were going to be on the Facebook event but heck, people lie.
Once I got more into the crowd, I met some very friendly people that even shooked my hand as they held a bottle of either a beer, Red Bull or Moster energy in their opposite hands, some even making some strange dances but I didn’t really care, as long as I was having fun, it was a blast.
After a few hours or so, people were now even holding up signs to let us in, one even got arrested which I felt shame for him but a real sad gamer moment right there.
The sun was already settling down which made a beautiful sunset in the distance, I even took a photo of it.
People were starting to get tired of standing there, talking nonsense and not seeing any Alien stuff or what I came for, Shrek 5 baby.
So, people were kind enough and set up a singing stage and I guess started to sing on it? I don’t know, it was CRAZY that night!
I didn’t even care that I didn’t get to see any Alain or Shrek 5 that night, nobody was around to command me around! I made new people, even kids my age, heck, even meet that Nartour running guy everyone saw on Live TV or Twitter. By the time the guards or so-called government announced that this event was canceled and if we don’t get the heck out of there, cops would be called, it was time to pack up. The dozens of people (including me) winded in anger, disappointed in not seeing any Alien stuff.
I called an Uber once again and 34 minutes later. A tall man with his eyes looking like they were going to pop out pulled over in a Nissan car. I told him my directions and from there, I took one last picture before leaving that place with only my footprints to stay.
I called my mother to give her a heads up that I was at the airport and that I was coming home. Now, she was mad that I didn’t call her right after I landed but glad that I was okay.
I was sad that I didn’t get to hang around my new friends in the Area 51 raid but I got their phone numbers to stay in touch.
My plane was called 2 hours later and welp, it was time for me to call it a day.
Area 51- The raid and day I didn’t expect to be.
Thank God everything went well.
