ARE THESE ACTUALLY USEFUL???

So I spawned a snow golem, and it threw a snowball at a creeper, repeatedly. The creeper kept getting knocked back, and got nowhere (didnt get far forwards or back), then after that 30 seconds the creeper just stopped and blew up?? I guess it just gets triggered by the snowball spamming and ends its self
