Alternate punishment for hackers

I think you should make the punishment for hacking a little less rough. As some of you know, hacking results in an instant IP ban. I think it should be reduced to a 30 day ban (or longer depending how powerful the hack was). Yes, i have been IP banned from BrokenLens, and i think its more fair this way. However, im more than sure you won't add this to the server because "you don't give hackers a second chance". Well, thats all.

Hmm, what about a 30 day ban the first time, then a permanent ban if they come back and hack again?

Or a 120 day ban, I dunno

I have to disagree with this suggestion, as I would give up. The best way is to perm-ban hackers for hacking is not allowed on here. Another problem is that they are still using the "VPN" app, which for the most part allow players to bypass the ban on getting rid of their IP addresses that are banned. Hackers should stay on their ban forever, but I mean that the amount of hackers will be slightly reduced.

I dunno...
I mean, supporting what we already have, hacking IS kinda the worst offense, and that means it should have an irreversible consequence.
On the other hand, supporting this suggestion, it would be really nice to imagine people saying, "oh Fran, I got banned, better not hack when I'm unbanned." But... will that happen? Or will they just be perm-banned as soon as they're back on the server?

I'm sorry but I sort of disagree as well.. I mean hacking is one of the worst offenses to the rules and with this rule, hackers would keep coming back... sorry but I say no

There should be a list of Players offensive to Brokenlens.
So they can keep an eye on suspicious players.
Or do they already have that?

I disagree with this hackers know what they are doing is wrong and know the consequences.

I disagree, hackers deserve it. Every single person who acknowledges that they are breaking the rules and they keep doing it, they are extremely inconsiderate to the servers. Hacks are the worst case of rule breaking. It gives them an advantage over everything. It is YOUR fault if you get banned permanently for hacking, the only way to not get perm ban is to make a ban appeal. Then you might have your ban reduced to 30 day ban or something like that.

I have to say no on this suggestion.Let's just say if we ban those hackers for 30 days,after those days they will come back,and if they hack again,maybe none of us will catch them hacking.Sound possible

Yeah totally. First time flyhacks, then after ban speedhacks and strengthhacks and noone here can report them without video evidence >_>

Why give them a second chance tho? They have to make a ban appeal....that's the only way. And plus most hackers or rule breaker just ban bypass....so its better to ban the IP the first time because they prop gonna be ban bypassing the second time
