POLL About Mobwars

Should we change the food system?

  • Yes. For way too long have they been abusing the food system to their advantage

  • No. The food system is already adequate enough. Your reasons are, "off target"

I've been playing a lot of Mobwars recently and for now, my main concern is the food system of the minigame. First of all, in early game, if you managed to get to the center island, most of the time you return to your base wounded (If not, well, one of your return trips will). You don't regenerate and the only option is either to buy food or get a health potion. But, that's the problem. The iron generators spawn iron after 4-5 seconds. Getting even 10 iron would get you 40-50 seconds wasting your time from being more productive and also, you can't just go into the middle island whenever you like. In the end game, players end up being overpowered by hoarding bread. To be honest, making the golden apples and pork chops irrelevant. They are functioning as healing potions rather than food. Especially that they don't have a delay (like the eating animation and so on). If the idea was exceptionally good or nearly flawless, then why wont it be implemented to the majority of servers?

I suggest that the food will function as actual food and the teams can regenerate their health within their bases. I also suggest to remove the healing potion and instead add a regeneration 2 potion and add a harming 1-2 splash potion. The reason I put more emphasis on the reason why I want the food to be needed is because this server has been using this system for a long time (or what I presumed to be). I think it's probably the time to change it.

And also. I think I have grasped why BrokenLens implemented the food system in Mobwars. I think it's because it's really... Really hard invading bases that have any some sort of defense. So I suggest adding tnt and shears to the mix.

I have tested this out in other servers. Its actually quite effective if you change it this way. And if you think that shears and tnt is OP, I think it's not because all the mobs are placed within a defensible position (I,e: In an open field where players can quickly respond to, or behind the spawn area, where it is easy to reach). Which, balances the playing field

And also, another thing I want to address to other players about the issue of PCs being the "dominant" race in BrokenLens is because, well, for one. I have alternative accounts (Templar Althalos and Templar Marquess) that have witnessed players. In one occasion, I asked a player how they are exceptional in pvp. His/Her response was

"My parents bought me a console/(or something similar) with auto clicker"

Ok, at that time, I
thought auto clicker was ok. So, I downloaded auto-clicker on my PC and played on a server (H***brine) and got banned. That was the moment I realized the auto-clicker was bannable (I thought auto-clicker was just like normal clicking but automatically) and went back to BrokenLens. I'm saying this just to raise awareness that, not all professionals play fairly. And also, losing to a lot of people doesn't mean you're bad, it means you still have a lot of potential to train and be better. (Literally)

So, for my opinion.
No, they aren't the dominant race.
