BrokenLens has been a happy, fun and interesting opportunity. Now with new people taking spots of others (new members, staff, bullies, etc.), BrokenLens is just a lame website for me (sorry, not sorry). If you think about it (speaking to old members), new members and others that are new/ relatively new people joining forums are experiencing more joy, likes, messages and more friends than old members. New members have more of a chance to be a staff, more chances of succeeding and making friends than us (more like me). If you aren't experiencing this, good for you, this is in my perspective. As you can see, there aren't "famous" new members that had been in this forums for under 3 months leaving that are making threads. If you know me, I hate making threads, I just know it's not my thing. I came to this server to make friends and have fun, this server is just plain lag and Xbox players everywhere, crap. I went through a lot in this server, the friends that I made months ago (January, Febuary) have most likely all left, I still have screenshots of them with me for memories, memories of the old times when BrokenLens was not a mess. Before I joined this forum, I was happy as I could be. This is the story of how I found BrokenLens: a while ago one of my friends showed me a server called "LifeBoat", I played it everyday and loved it. After a while I started getting bored of hunger games and went on Minecraft PE Server List and searched up: Servers with skywars. I tried all of them and eventually got to BrokenLens. When I got into it, I saw one of the games called "Team Skywars" I joined it and got into the lobby, the first thing I thought was,"This lobby's kinda small..." I got into the game and enjoyed it, I started playing other minigames in BrokenLens until autoban came into the server, I got banned for 3 days and made a ban appeal. That's when I discovered forums. I've been going on forums actively throughout May to now, I found it more amusing back then, now it's just threads saying "I'm leaving" and people coming here wanting to be a moderator. I found myself being mean to people and losing hope for me in BrokenLens and the server itself, it's most likely I'm wrong but it's my opinion. After all this time, I'm bored and unsatisfied of what BrokenLens' becoming into and I want to leave.

I don't know much about nor are we good friends more like acquaintances

I understand what you feel like, with almost alll the new member being recognised all the time and they get a lot more attention than me not that I care about that though I don't really care for attention, I'm one of those players who are just pushed aside when some one else comes on but you shouldn't care about that, why do you have to have so many friends? Is what you have not enough? you don't need 1000 friends who aren't really friends when you can have
20 loyal friends it shouldn't be your priority

The I'm leaving threads are horrible I hate them cause I see almost all of the OG and the best players leave due to douche bags in the game aka the New Legends (not even gonna deny that) for targeting, being mean in general and etc. That shouldn't be one of the reasons of you leaving because there are still soo many players that haven't left yea maybe not that great at pvp or just new but that isn't a bad thing and there are so many people who don't want to be moderator.

My god the server is very laggy but that shouldn't stop you from playing, I have a slow phone slow WiFi but I still play.

But I can't stop you from doing what you want. So if you leave then Goodbye if not them that's good but I'm the least likely person who can sway your opinion

No. You have those followers because people respect you as you respect them.

I can't pretend to know exactly how you feel because I only almost agree with what you said, but I can at least partially relate. Most people who are active on the forums played on the servers for a while before that, and only joined the forums so they could make a ban appeal, or when friends recommended it to them.

What I'm trying to say is that I think we all have treasured memories from the "good old days" on the server, and sometimes we start reminiscing about these times. But we can't do anything to change the server back to how it was; we can't reduce the lag anymore than it is, we can't clear all the "new" players and bring back our old friends who have left.

You just have to accept that this is how it's going to be from now on, and either put up with it and stay, or leave...

• You entertain people. Until recently, 2004_Penguin was honestly one of funniest and most entertaining members on the forums. That member seems to have disappeared, replaced by someone else. I'm sure that me and a lot of other people would like to see him back.
• You are helpful, so stop saying you're not. We don't always see it, but you have a calm and calculated side, like this one, who is most certainly helpful and persuasive ._.
• You say that you have barely helped on Snowy's server in the last month, so, what are you waiting for? You can go help it!

To be honest, you really aren't the only person who feels like this. I miss the old, smaller BrokenLens. It was like our own, secret server, that we'd discovered, right? That's how I felt. And now it's grown bigger, I think that a lot of people are not feeling so attached to it. For instance, all anyone cares about is winning now. Oitc used to be a passive, fun game, and winning was just a bonus. But now it's full of try-hard bow-spammers, hackers, hackusaters and bullies. I don't know if it's the same in other games, but I'm guessing it is.

And the moderator issue? I get that too. Especially when there are perhaps older, more experienced players that might be better for the job. But, then again, shouldn't we all expect big changes like these? Vertx must know what he's doing. It might be hard to accept, but we all knew that the same server we fell in love with, was going to have to make changes, for better or worse, otherwise it would go nowhere. This community, well, it still is a good community, and people are working hard to block/ban bullies, hackers and spammers. We are all doing our best, and that's what matters.

Yes, people have left, but shouldn't we let new members have a chance? You never know, maybe they could turn out to be one of your great friends. Try and reach out to them. Cherish the conversations and friends that you used to have, but don't dwell on them too much. Nobody can live in the past.

Maybe you should give brokenlens a second chance? Maybe try and look at it with a positive mindset? And if not? It's ok to leave, we all understand.

Idk what to say.... u.u But Penguin, u aren't a mean person!U could of been in the past but in my opinion, u're a happy person and even tho if u don't think u help in ur own opinion, u did help the community by atleast becoming a member/player!U were one of the greatest people out there in this community, and leaving would just be...Too hard to believe.

This is ur desicion, and I can't change ur mind, and Ik that my (maybe) goodbye message wasn't as great, but remember u will be missed by lots of people.

And yes, we all miss the old BrokenLens, but what can we do?Vertx changed the future of BrokenLens and we can't change his mind...U can leave/quit, but if u do, Idk if the community will stay the same because of people leaving, but we have to face it....We all will face this time aswell.
