Like Spamming.

Again I know I shouldn't care it's "just likes" but here's the issue with it.
Some people sit around feeling lonely so they post a status (and yes I see this scenario happen way too much) maybe saying something like "I'm bored, someone please talk to me" or they'll ask a question of some sorts but the only thing they get is likes. Likes aren't going to answer there questions, likes aren't going to talk to them. These people want someone there for them they don't give a toss about likes. I mean poor @EricTheWriter looks like a sad spoon half the time but still no one bothers talking to him (I know some people do but you know what I mean) he doesn't want your likes. Trenz, khriz, strel and anyone else who like spams take into consideration how these people feel. I check my alerts hoping for someone to comment on my status or write a message on my profile (surprisingly I'm getting a fair amount of messages now but still) but no all they say is "____ Liked your message on your profile post" or "______ liked your message on ___ status".

So, stop. Please? No one cares about likes you're wasting your time.

Ppl have always spam liked on forums
It happened way back in the day
Still does
Only way to stop that is to get rid of the Likes Leaderboard
It's been suggested so many times and never listened to
It gives such a false sense of security and worth
No one deserves to be at the top of that board
Everyone is equal
And I agree that comments should be read and thought about before just liking them
Ppl want interaction with others not just to see someone liked your comment

Also because of the Likes Leaderboard
You get ppl making so many alt accounts just to like their own comments
Making it their mission to get to the top
I mean how many alts do you and you sister have anyway?
I don't have access to your pp but I'm sure you may have spammed your own comments

I mean if likes don't mean that much to you maybe just don't spam yourself
Or simply just tell everyone you follow to never like another of your comments again..pretty simple really

It disappoints me when my alerts are just likes. I am just looking forward for some conversations or just maybe some replies to a thread I wrote.

Honestly I think that's the way it should be
Ppl should take more time to interact with each other
Take interest in what others actually have to say on issues
Everyone has been guilty at some point of spamming likes
It's just what happens, you like your friends comments
I don't necessarily think ppl should be made to feel bad about doing it
But just be more aware of what they are liking

I still firmly believe that the Likes Leaderboard should be gone

I'm not going to deny like spamming myself because sure I have but that was when I was thirsty for likes I felt like the more likes you had the more friends you had. That was obviously false accusations so I stopped.

Seriously? You never know what to say to people?
A "Hello" or a "How are you?" Is fine too you know having some weird slightly bonkers thing to say to someone isn't a necessary thing

but after three ppl or so just say hello or hi or happy birthday or whatever it is, it just seems like you're just saying that to either draw attention to yourself or follow along what other ppl are doing..
instead of sincerely greeting someone and congratulating them..
being redundant doesn't help

so if twenty ppl just said "Hello" one after the other, would you say "Hello" as well?
or would you say something like "hello there!" to mix things up?

you can still say hi, just not in the exact same way as everyone else has if you genuinely mean your greeting
