I think that the community here can revive the server if only Vertx steps down.
We can open a conversation about what differences we want to make on the server.
I guess the best one for the leadership is SoftwareSlicer.
He has a great attitude and solidity that an admin must have.
We can help him if he gets the ownership from Vertx.
It would be a great revolution.

Sometimes when a chapter ends, it closes with a purpose. If you have read the announcement from Vertx, he tried his very best to revive the server over several months. He even encouraged the community to help but it did not work.

I think the server is will be gone forever. BUT if you want! You can create a server that honors or resembles Brokenlens however it will take a lot of work. Actually I suggest working with @Trollhunters501 since he has a server and he could use some help to boost his server. But Brokenlens is shut down for good.
