A castle in progress. Thoughts?

I just changed my mind. This type of castle I build will probably dont have moat but it still has a beautiful lake at the back though.
Now I have issues down here
The place I stand is the main entrance of the castle. But as soon as I enter, I don't know what I supposed to do for the space after the main entrance. Shouldn't it be a huge stair that connects to several doors and hallways? I just dont know. If only that there is a website that shows info about the inside of the castle.

ok so what I think u should do is make a church inside the large room, and behind it to stair cases going up, but opposite directions.

I was planning for this to be an adventure map. I'm gonna learn more about commands, tips and tricks.
And btw, the giant door of the throne room are made of spruce trap door. I put command blocks so people can go to the other side (teleport command).
