References aren't copying. I'll rephrase a quote for this.
"Do people expect everyone to remember the exact details of everything that exists? Unless you have god like memory, you'd need recent previous exposure to remember it."
Even good artists use references. I still have a Google search on how to draw legs because I may need to refer back to it.
