theres different kinds of tryhard. There not bad people idk why some people use it in a bad term its just someone going the extra mile to get what they want, and most of the time they never give up.

But being a 'really' try harder isnt advised though . You're dominating all of the chances and that will lead others to have less chances and irl you can be fined for dominating a subject like microsoft who got fined for dominating

A Tryhard is a person who puts too much effort into winning a game - he is "trying too hard". Of cource that term is highly subjective, but here are some ideas of where the concept comes from: People usually play games for recreation.

A person who puts a large amount of effort into achieving a certain image, or counter-image, to the point where it is obviously contrived. Rather than achieving an image through genuine personality, the try-hard consciously attempts to fit a certain stylethrough deliberate imitation, forced style, or scripted behavior. That is to say, he/she is trying hard to create an image.
Examples: An affluent, suburban dweller who makes great efforts to cover himself in tattoos and piercings; try-hard.

A person who wears certain items of clothing for the express intention of appearing "non-conformist", and flaunts it; try-hard.

Someone who purchases a motorcycle only to appear as a "bad-boy"; try-hard.

A person who shuns certain genres or styles of music or art simply because it does not fit his self-image, or the image he wants to portray; try-hard.

Being a tryhard isn't bad, people just make it seem that way. You can either take in the fact that you need to change, or you can ignore the fact that you're a tryhard. There's no need for someone to change the way you play the game, even if it means playing for 15 hours and slowly drifting away from family

A tryhard is a person who works and tried very har (pun intended or whatever) to achieve something they want. A goal they want to accomplish. I was once a try hard to be a part of the leaderboards but then sooner or later I lost the inspiration to be at the top because I was already at the top. And no I don't think tryhards are bad, they are simply people who have goals they want to accomplish. And goku is not a try hard in my perspective, he seems like a pretty rad dude with amazing skills.

Someone who just want to win.
He is not interested in fun he just wants more wins and get better stats.He will use every allowed technique there is to win the game even if they are really dirty.He dont care if other people get annoyed of him or his techniques(like bowspamming:On pc:rod spamming,knockback reducing)
Well thats what a minecraft tryharder is.
I dont know about other versions of tryharders but in minecraft its an insult.

Ehh, at this point I'm probably just gonna be repeating buuuuut, here's my definition:
A tryhard is, like the name, a person that puts in WAY too much effort, and putting in effort is fine, but too much isn't good. Trying too hard can get to the point where it's annoying. For example, if you're a tryhard at a game, you play A LOT, doing whatever it takes to win, it's not about the fun anymore, it's more like... You're playing to impress. If you're a tryhard at trying to become staff, then you almost becomes like staff, talk like them, act like them, and just suck up to them in general. All to get what you want. And like other people have said, it seperates you from your life.
Yea, stuff XD I wouldn't say it's THAT bad, but you do have to set your limits somewhere

my opinion is just a person who tries too hard to be a pro at a game, is a suckup for staff, and well... tries to hard to be good XD
