Fix the height limit, thats it.. please, it's annoying everyone just sky bridges
The issue with all the height limit suggestions we get is that they are always a bit vague :notworthy:

Can you guys at least give an idea of how high of a limit? 10, 15, 20 blocks-high or so?
It's already set to 128 blocks globally so currently the limit depends on the map you're on.

I think 15 or 20 would be valid for all the maps that we currently have, and thank you for listening to our suggestion

I'd say 20 would be great, not too high not too low

I think it depends on the map. Some maps offer additional verticality within their map design that allows for players to really explore their options while other maps are fairly flat by comparison. Maps like OG Station and Music N rely much more on horizontal momentum and quick encounters than maps like Towers and Ruined Kingdom.
Having that as an option configured on a map by map (or category dependent.) basis would be ideal for providing an improved player experience but would require a significant amount of play-testing and feedback from our community.

Personally, I think the issue is not that players could tower upwards as an evasive measure but rather that there is not a sufficient way to account for them towering upwards with many kits provided in the Skywars and Team Skywars meta unless you are lucky with chest loot or spawn on specific maps.
(Seasons and Winter provide snow blocks which can be a tactical advantage and counter.)

Another factor to consider is that players who make these towers can use the high ground to their advantage with kits like the Creeper kit and Archer kit which could require their opponents to tower back up after getting knocked off or eliminate them entirely.
That is why a height limit in my opinion would not be a one stop solution to address slower paced passive gameplay within the meta. Definitely would require a deeper discussion regarding how these modes work and the various mechanics at play but hopefully my two cents on the matter proves to be an interesting take on the subject.

tldr:
I believe we're referring to Skywars and Team Skywars although these ideas could apply to MW and other modes.
Height limit probably should depend on map and play-testing. Even then, It's not a one stop solution.
Counter measures do exist with certain kits and chest loot but could be buffed and are also used by people who tower as well.
